Amazon UK: Back to the Future Trilogy [Blu-ray] ~ $29 Delivered

450

Yet another deal from Amazon UK.

Back to the Future Trilogy [Blu-ray] - £17.99

Works out to £18.67 (~$29) after VAT removal / delivery.

Compatible with Australian blu-ray players.

Not as good as the Big W pricing mistake, but they didn't honour many of those anyway.

NOTE: Probably for one day only as they appear to be price-matching Play.com, another UK store.

Price History at C CamelCamelCamel K Keepa.

Awesome deal, I just need a bluray player :(

One of the only movies I can watch over and over and still enjoy every minute of it.

    • Time for a PS3 :)

How many Aussie dollars are going to Amazon recently?

Shows the value of a lot of competition and we are benefiting.

    • Much more than I'm sending to harvey norman. Even If I only spent 1c at amazon uk, it'd still be more than I spend at harvey norman. :)

    • Seeing as the product is completely imported anyway (USA movie studio, rights, shareholders, actors and production) I don't have any problem buying it from overseas. Retailers just move boxes and put items on display. No added value to the product and economically it's trivial compared to actually making what they sell.

Regarding the recent action by Harvey Norman/David Jones/Westfield/et al, I bought a new laptop this week and was glad to buy it from a small retailer rather than whinging David Jones. HN wasn't even in the picture as they don't sell Apple hardware.

  • Sweet deal, thanks.

  • Great, just picked this up + Shutter Island on Blu-Ray for an extra £9. Thanks!

  • I've read Amazon review posts where some people have had issues playing back parts 2 and 3 on their blu-ray players. It doesn't sound like user error, so I'm hoping it's limited to an older batch!

    • The set I got from BigW has played flawlessly through all 3 discs. I had read some people had loading issues, with the transitions between menus being rather slow, but I didn't notice any excessive loading times…

good price, I payed $46 from wow when it first came out about 1-1.5 months ago? Probably the only difference is I got the lenticular cover and almanac. Personally, I would have preferred to pay $29

    Great scott!

  • How do you get the VAT back?
Also does it have to be sold BY amazon.co.uk to get it back or can you get it back from any seller ON amazon.co.uk

It is automatically removed when you checkout with a foreign shipping address.

God damnit Amazon UK. Added BTTF to cart… 'oh you should also buy the Bourne collection'. OK, makes sense. 'Oh you should also buy Band of Brothers on Blu. OK, always wanted that on Blu.

    Now I am poor.

    • Yes, me too. Just bought Little Britain, Bourne Trilogy on Blu-ray, Doctor Who Season 3, this, and more…prices are just so good.

Very good price. I bought the trilogy on DVD recently for $16 from JB Hifi. Worth paying a little more for blu-ray.

  • Just ordered. Tried the BigW one previously but didn't get honoured.

  • Great bargain.
Combined with http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/37418, got both for $53 delivered.
    FTW ;p

  • anyone here ordered anything from amazon UK? I'd like to hear how fast their delivery is…I bought stuff from Amazon US site before and I had to wait over a month to get my stuff.

    • Mine got dispatched yesterday. Shipped via Royal Mail with estimated arrival date of 27th Jan.

    • Yeah pretty quick normally 1-2 weeks.
