  • Not available at Brisbane City woolies :(

Good dish, stains easily though. At $5, can't complain.

I think that's a Jamie Oliver thing. I purchased the Jamie Oliver stainless steel cutlery a while back (admittedly on clearance at a very cheap price). Two washes later the cutlery were noticeably stained and starting to rust.

Selling a stainless item that stains. Yup that sounds like Jamie Oliver.

        • -2

All stainless Stains its in its name Stain less

      • +2

Jamie would say it's seasoned/flavored properly.

      • I think you can clean rust with bi carb

      • +1

a drizzle of olive oil will fix that

        • +1

What doesn't a drizzle of olive oil fix!

      • +1

you take it back and complain for false advertising.

Stainless steel by definition shouldnt rust.

    • +1

One could say the same about his restaurants… I don't think he bothers what he puts his name to…

      • +2

'His' Tefal stuff is nice though. Then again, Tefal were a good brand to begin with.

        • I agree, I've got a couple of his frypans, woks etc, and they've been a joy to use so far, I'm very happy with Tefal's products.

    • +7

That's how much his products are worth retail, I reckon (even less for actual sale price). He has used his name to flog cheap goods for ages. I kinda wish Woolies would just stop selling his crap.

      • +3

According to daily mail, in FY16, he earns 7.6 million pounds just by putting his name on stuffs

  • +4

yeah I think this is all show no go quality wise. Don't really trust these products.
I mean really stainless steel that rusts wtf?

    • +2

There is really no such thing as proper "stainless steel" - just alloys with varying degrees of corrosion resistance. This is why you'll find things with rhodium plating.

      • Ok well I think the old Jamie Oliver must have cheaped out on the Chrome in his mix

        • +2

Oh I don't doubt that at all. Most likely cheap Chinese steel. Fatter pockets for himself, you know.

Whos Jamie Oliver? Never heard of her!

    • ????

    • Same here.

Only heard of Jamie Hammer ;-).

    • Seriously, you have never heard of Amy Joliver?

    • Homer, is that you?

I think the saying goes: Oliver? I hardly knew ‘er!

Thanks op just Picked one up, perfect size to make lasagna or cannelloni without having to use a massive dish and having lots of leftovers, I had a terracotta dish that someone bought me for house warming was one of those well known brands from Myer and it cracked after two times don’t know why

    • +1

      Overheated, particularly when empty.

  • Perfect for my mac&cheese tomorrow night!
