This is a micro form factor desktop — basically, you won't be able to fit in a big any graphics card. Not for gaming.

There are also some very cheap refurbished laptops, but they are basically the crappiest laptops on the market

    $103.20 Lenovo IdeaPad 100s with Z3735F Atom

    $127.20 Lenovo Ideapad 100s with N3060, 4GB, 32GB EMMC

    $183.20 Lenovo MIIX 310 10.1 inch Tablet convertible with Atom X5 Z8350, 4GB RAM

feel free to post them as deals., just credit this post if you decide to post them.

    • yeah, these micro machines are OK if you don't want to add power hungry cards (limited size power supply) or upgrade power supply as they are non std form factor.

Pity, would have been nice to gut it from the case and put into a tower.

Still good for people that just want a small desktop PC for home rather than a laptop,
add an extra 4 or 8GB ram and an SSD…. has windows Pro so you can encrypt the drive incase PC is stolen, and it's 7th gen CPU.

basically, you won't be able to fit in a big graphics card

You actually won't be able to fit in any size graphics card, as they don't have a PCI-e slot, nor the room to accommodate for add-on cards.

    • There's a difference for less demanding gaming - those $100-$200 laptops won't run The Sims 4, for example, and it's barely playable at low settings on the $300 OzB favourite Dell N3710 laptop, whereas it should run quite well at medium settings on this i5-7500T.

  • Can you upgrade the RAM, 4GB seem too small?

  • any deals on the SFF version???

    • Not really. I don't see any good SFF deals for refurbs yet,

      • I already got the Optiplex 9020, gonna get the HP G1 800 elitedesk aswell. But if there's a newer gen optiplex like this one here I'll jump on it :P

          I'll jump on it

          That will void any warranty.

Okay that actually got a real life chuckle from me.

    Not for gaming.

    Not true

I got my best score in Minesweeper on a similar rig recently.

good enough for retro gaming :D

    • I hear it also runs flying windows screensaver really well.

  • I played Rise of the Tomb Raider on a Surface Pro 3.

Only got 10 frames a second or something horrible but integrated graphics can do a lot more than used to. The guy at LowSpecGamer gets all sorts of stuff to run.

  • Defence refresh has similar model. Very low failure rate considering there is over 100,000 installed

  • While not a gaming machine, you can see what gaming it is capable of:

    Playing Overwatch
    Assorted Games
