Commenters over in the Zafarelli post state that Barilla is the best brand for pasta and Coles appear to have a sale on at the moment on their regular range of 500g pasta and their 400g sauces.

I second this, none of that crappy preservative after taste or tangy orange cheap bolognaise nastiness. Just sauces that taste like what's on the label.
Barilla is a dying brand
put this “barilla pasta anti lgbt” in Google search, and you will know why this brand used to be best and dominant down to this currently squeezed position, the space on shelves in supermarkets says it all. personally, I stopped supporting this brand since I heard about their anti lgbti scandal

Honestly I'm pretty sick of having this sorta stuff chucked down my throat (like the pun?). I treat everyone equal, I don't see why I need to be shamed everytime the lgbtiect community gets but hurt.
It's beyond the joke these days… Someone says I find fat people gross, you don't have 40000 fat people ranting. If you don't support them that's fine but don't shove your propaganda into my life.

I think the zafarelli pasta (currently @97c woolies) is just as good. Also the 500g leggos chunky bolognaise range which is sometimes $1.50 is also v good.
