Similar PC part picker build excluding windows is here

    Hi PcByte,

Why do you guys price jack on your products whenever the 20% ebay deals come on?

    Thanks.

      • +8

        Ahahahhaha you tried.

      • +5

Honestly do you think we are stupid?
Your supplier jack the price whenever eBay has 20% off code! Really! Do you think we will buy this!

      • +9

well consequently due to your price jacking I pretty much "Re-adjusted" my buying pattern and SKIPPED PCByte altogether.

      • Computer Alliance = No price jacking

        • Yes PC Bytes, you do.. just like Futu.

          No excuses please!

      • ROFL what a tool ….as if anyone on here cant see a pricejack ..every 20% off the price jacking happens

  • What PSU's are included in each of the 3 systems? Your description above says "Thermaltake 600W 80+ Power Supply" but all 3 of the eBay listings state "600W High Efficiency Power Supply" which isn't 80+. I'm interested in the 1060 system in particular (with some upgrades).

    • The power supply that comes with this Computer package is the Thermaltake TR2 S 600W 80 PLUS® PSU.

    1050ti Low profile

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Gigabyte-GV-N105TOC-4GL-GeForce-…

It was listed at $249 before the "prewinter" ebay special
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/365321

When the ebay deal became active it was instantly jacked to $299.

Now a few days ago it was jacked up again to $309 which is what is sitting at currently.

Thanks for admitting that you jack your pricing up to "reflect the changes in the market." (Whenever a Ebay deals come along)

Ebay feedback down to 99% too. Check the negative feedback comments out.

I'm not defending the seller, but there is a massive shortage of those cards both MSI and Gigabyte models. We make budget gaming machines out of them and you'd be lucky to find a supplier with more than 10 in stock at any given time.

Ok, so price jack at every 20% off eBay code are always coincidence!

    Why reward an unethical company
We need to neg these scammers or we are condoning their behaviour
How many thousands of people have they ripped off

The Ebay deal provides ~5% off after all the shenanigans, and it as much a deal for the buyer as it is for the Ebay seller. They want their cut of the pie too so as much as it sucks I doubt it'll change.

The bigger companies (for e.g. Dell) have the capacity to sell far higher number of systems so when sales come along they don't look to increase pricing as the higher volume of sales is ok for them. The smaller sellers working on far tighter margins and perhaps higher greed will always look to maximize their margin hence the behavior.

  • Yay or Nay?

Been looking for gaming pc to buy. Or should I just make my own?

    • +2

      Nay for me.
Once you add the parts to match a Dell, Dell is cheaper.

  • I think for the first time ever the companies have cheaper PCs than you can put together yourself, mostly due to inflated video cards and RAM now as well. Just looking at those components to buy separately:
    Nvidia GTX 1070 8GB GDDR5X - 700-800
    i7 7700 - 412
    Z270MX-G5 Motherboard - 219.00
    Crucial 8GB DDR4 2400MHz - 115

This is already over $1500.00 and no power supply, no HDD, no SSD, no case etc you get the point. I just took these prices of a local PC parts supplier. I'm not saying go for this particular one, as others have suggested check DELL etc. Also AUD is high maybe you can even get something cheaper in the next few weeks.

  • What rot. Just looking at the nvidia GTX 1070s which are all price jacked to ~$1000. These are $800 cards.
