Dick Smith are still selling these for $199 sale price

    http://dicksmith.com.au/product/D4552/tomtom-xl-250-in-car-g…

    • Dick Smith recently sold it for $149 but a pricing error made it $99. I used OW to price match for $95.

Any chance you can upload a copy of your receipt?

        • +1

          Yeah, interested as well.

Actually I do have a question, is OW obligated to match their own price if you can show the receipt?

        • browser - the answer to your question is NO - they'll match other retailers but not themselves - even if you show them another OW receipt.

          sources:
          1. several personal attempts to do exactly this.
          2. several threads on ozbargain.
          3. several threads on whirlpool.

  • nice! I will grab this tomorrow.

  • which year maps on these? i just cant seem to find it..

    • not sure, but probably doesnt matter as these come with latest map guarantee which updates your map to whatever is current upon activation of your device. also this comes with 12 months free updates (max of 4 updates in 12 months) as per tomtom's current promo: http://tomtom4bonusmaps.campaign.net.au/

  • What's the difference between 340 and 250?

    • +1

cant find the 340 - I think you mean the xxl 540? bigger screen, higher res, more memory. Have done a comparo and posted a new deal where you can pick it up for $149 for those who are interested: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/36930

      • The One XL 340 is an older model. They have the same size screen but the menu system is "cut down" on the 250 compared to the 340. From memory, you can't change the mode from fastest route to quickest route etc. There are other small differences but the 250 will be fine for most people.

  • Tried to price match at OW but they've brought their price down to $128 today
