I passed on the recent nintendo retro consoles because this is the one i grew up with and I've been waiting for it. I have no idea of stock levels but might be worth getting in quick.

If it was an 'official' product like the Nintendo mini consoles it would be 100x more exciting.
I'd rather let the C64 live in my good memories than buy one now and realised it sucked.
The joystick and the games list look an awful lot like the "C64 DTV" (direct to TV) product. The C64 DTV was a modder's delight with solder points left for users to install peripherals like storage devices and keyboards. This is big improvement with HDMI output, I wonder if it has capacity to run any filters/smmothers/shaders over the graphics.
yup I still have a couple of boxed C64 DTVs - was wondering if this released item will also have solder points to connect a second joystick, real 1541 disk drive etc.
mind you to be brutally honest I mostly use retroarch running on my android S905X media player to play NES, SNES, C64, Amiga, Atari 2600, Atari 7800, Master System, Megadrive, Playstation and MAME arcade games.. so much easier and convenient.

I through out a C64 and disk drive with 100s of games, most copies…. sad but I didnt think at the time to wrap it up and put it away as it was bad then as it is bad now.
This is missing a lot of games but I really liked Monty Mole, Paradroid and Boulder Dash.
We played a lot of Advanced Dungeons and Dragons, I had them all :/

Still got all my old Amiga stuff,a 1000, 500, disc drives, joysticks, hundreds of discs, monitors, boxes of photocopied manuals and game cheat sheets. A huge collection. Used to meet up with randoms all the time for big disc copying sessions. Anybody know anyone who's a collector?
