I’ve started my first play through. Seems good so far.

      Yes 💯

i dont know, it seems super complicated, too much to learn. i hate those kinds of games, esp if you take a break in between and forget all the controls

      • +3

Happened to me too. The controls are simplified a bit now and I know it’s overwhelming at times but you will end up playing it a minimum of 2 times. That’s how god the game is. The stories are top notch. Just give it another go. Good luck on the path.

Never too late. I thought I was late playing it in 2019. With my GTX 1080 Ti playing it at 4K120 with the high res texture packs it looked bloody amazing. In hindsight, I didn't appreciate how incredible the writing and voicework was in comparison to some modern fantasy games (Dragon Age veilguard for example as being bottom of the barrel).

One of the best games of the last few generations. All you need to know is that Witcher 1 and 2 are bad and you don't need to play or know them, that's how good Witcher 3 is. It somehow just came out as this amazing standalone game. The developer captured lightening in a bottle or something, because they can't seem to replicate the production of a game that good. They probably don't even really understand what makes it so good.

Cyberpunk is S tier now. Just saying.

Witcher 1 and 2 were objectively good games. The cinematic at the beginning of 2 was graphically ahead of its time too

      • +2

Witcher 1 hasn't aged well, but for the time it was a good game. Witcher 2 still holds up incredibly well and has arguably the best story of the series. Both are good games. I don't know what you're going on about in the 2nd part of your comment…

they gave it a next gen upgrade just 2 years ago which was actually a big change including gameplay, not just graphics so it shouldnt feel old

FYI, total download is 60.755 GB, 27.648 GB download to start game. It downloads as "Game of the Year" Edition, as opposed to how it is listed on the PS Store as "Complete Edition". Same game+DLCs, slightly different titles.

Game of the Year Edition and Complete Edition is the same game. It's only that in North America it's called Complete Edition whereas in Europe and probably the rest of the world it's called Game of the Year Edition. Since you're not in North America it downloaded the Game of the Year. So it's all a world region thing.

I found the info from this certain reddit thread.

Bought it about a month ago for the same price and played about 50 hours. It was very complicated at the beginning to learn all the mechanics and I kept dying. My advice is try not to take on too many side quests because it became way too confusing and hard to follow what was going on..
