Shipster Trial Extended to 2019 (for Existing Users Who Joined before 14/11/17)

713

FYI

Early adopters received a free extension to March 31st 2018

Today I received an email advising that my memebership will be extended to 2019 free! That’s an extra 9 months

Everyone should keep an eye out before people start cancelling,

More free months?! You betcha.

Need an excuse to keep shopping online? How about free shipping on eligible purchases* for the rest of the year?

As one of our earliest Shipster members, we’d like to thank you once again for your support by extending your free subscription until 2019! Enjoy an extra 9 months of Shipster benefits on us, and pay nothing until 1 January 2019.

If you have any issues, or would like to get in touch, please contact through our help page.

Don’t forget – the more you shop, the more you save and be sure to look out for our special offers emails.

Thanks,
The Shipster Team

Mod. Further info:

If you were an early adopter who joined before 14 November 2017, you will receive full Shipster member benefits for free until the end of 2018. Your first monthly payment of $6.95 will be charged to your preferred payment method as of 1st January 2019.

Therefore this deal appears to be for those users who got the $9.95 for 3 months Shipster membership deal on the basis the Ongoing free trial deal started on 14/11 (this extension is for those who joined 13/11 or earlier, on paid trials not free trials).

All users. Note that the 2 Month Shipster Trial deal is still ongoing.

    Darn, I already cancelled!

so how about new users? can we get this?

    • For the low low price of 6.95 per month I guess

  • +1

My trial was Nov 17 - Jan 18! Very early adopter! :(

    • My trial finished mid Jan and didn't get any offer. Didn't even get an extension to Mar 18 as OP claims.

      • I joined on November 14th for 2 months free. Also no extension. Cancelled before paying for the third month.

        • I joined in November too for 2 months trial. Until now I have paid for 2 months membership out of pocket. Received no trial extension. Is this deal for everyone or targeted?

  • I'm still in the trial period and did not receive this email.

    • Nope, no email, and my trial period expires March 31.

  • +1

Well I joined in Dec 2017 as a 2mth free trial, got charged in February so I cancelled :|

  • +3

I just cancelled a few days ago

    • +1

How is this a duplicate? They're different deals.

      • -6

Well this was the title before it was edited

Shipster Free Trial Extended to 2019

  • Targeted?

    • Good chance its targeted. I've got a free trial active and no email, so gonna cancel in next week or so if no email comes through.

  • On their website it says:If you were an early adopter who joined before 14 November 2017, you will receive full Shipster member benefits for free until the end of 2018. Your first monthly payment of $6.95 will be charged to your preferred payment method as of 1st January 2019.

  • Just cancelled yesterday :/

  • +2

I should add, I signed up to this in October 2018 for $9.95 for 3 months

So maybe only those who paid will get the free extension,

The email only came through 3pm

So for me I would have received 15 months for $9.95

    • +4

You here from the future? Can you tell me who feature in the footy grand final or who wins it?

      October 2018

        Haha, Eels for the Spoon!

Where'd you buy your flux capacitor? I've found that all the cheap ones on eBay and AliExpress won't work in the southern hemisphere due to the Coriolis effect.

  • I paid the $9.95 and also got this email

  • No love for me. When I log in, I get:

"Welcome back [my name]. Now that you’ve taken advantage of our 2 month trial offer, we’ll need your payment details to continue your Shipster membership.
Free shipping1 is just $6.95 a month2 and you can cancel at any time."

My two months ran from 3 Dec to 3 Feb.
There was never any extension to March, let alone 2019.

      Same here

  • good

  • Havent received mine yet, I signed up on 11 Oct, get three month extension. Bought couple of stuff from Harvey Norman and myer, so the $9.95 already been paid off.

  • +2

Thanks for reminding me my 2 months free shipster ends soon so I don't forget to cancel :)

    • just checked too.. mine renews in 5 days.. cancelled now lol.
      I never actually used it…

  • I joined yesterday!!!!!

  • +8

While the benefit stretches to 31/12/2018, the deal was technically expired on 14/11/2017.

    • I joined on 26/11 (non-punctual early adopter here) so I miss out.

    • Not really, its just a new deal for existing users / targetted offer.

  • D'oh,cancelled mine 2 days ago

dont know much about shipster sorry, what does the fee cover? Their commission or handling? I assume you still pay a delivery fee for the goods….?

    • If over $25 they ship free unless it's super bulky…

      • +2

Nothing's really ever free … especially with Australia Post - the subscription is a sure way to lock you in to those handful of retailers

        • Gotcha - thanks for the speedy answers :)

        • Lol… Make 4 Gmail's. Use . And +1 at the end of each bam 12 months free.

        • @Slippery Fish: Well that isn't really going to work, you have to use the same email you make the online purchase with, so every new trial means changing the email address with the retailer too.

        • @bricabrac89: yes, yes it does. Accounts are free lol

  • +2

Shipster sucks for myer clearance items.. anyone else noticed most "do not qualify for standard shipping".

    Neways.. have cancelled mine already.

    • it'S not just shipster. i couldnt pay for mine either. i got free shipping with gold membership. they didnt let me pay for the items. their website sucks

  • Got this and very happy. It works well and the monthly $5 delivery voucher is a nice bonus. Got some good deals that id have had to pay shipping on if not for shipster

  • +2

I cancelled, it's as good as useless.

  • Amazing! I subscribed in October so hoping that I will get the email too too

  • +1

couldn't Find any Shops that i would want to Buy from …….

  • The service must not be doing that well in terms of paid up members so they're going to prop up their member numbers with this user base.

Doesn't make sense otherwise l - why give another nine month's for free to members who have likely paid less than many have for the service. Early adopters for a delivery scheme - hardly a risky thing that needs rewarding.

I think the premise for shipster is very good - it's only useful though if you regularly shop with those stores (at $ values below their own free shipping activation).

    • Exactly. The stores they are aligned with are mostly overpriced ripoff merchants.

Consequently, I haven't yet used shipster despite the free trial. Furthermore, I can't foresee when I will use shipster due to the same reason.

They aren't tackling the problem, they are tackling the symptom. Waste of time.

Canceled my membership. Hope they send this targeted offer to members who deactivated their membership

  • Luckily i didn't cancel it yet, have that on my things to do list "cancel this free subscription/cancel that subscription"

  • +5

If it isn’t possible to sign up for it now, there is no deal bargain or freebie here.

  • My free trial ended in January and I cancelled so I didn't get charged. So how do I continue to get it free as when I login it says my trial has ended and will be charged.

    • This is for people who paid $9.95 for 3 months before the free trial started.

  • How do I check when I signed up? If I canceled 48hrs ago, am I still eligible for this?

    • +1

If you signed up during the free trial, then you won't be eligible. This is for people who paid $9.95 for 3 months before the free trial started.

  • I joined on January 1st just got my first invoice

  • Wonder when AusPost will bring Shipster to Canberra…

  • Interesting. ..i was charged at the start of February but not at the start of march it seems. ..i wonder if mine is free now?

  • I already paid 6.95 twice after joining in dec. this is no unfair. Maybe I should cancel it too.

  • +3

Can't see how this is a bargain. It's already too late to sign up to, and if you do qualify you don't have to do anything.

    • +2

      My thoughts exactly!

  • Can someone tell me where to check my subscription? I have used the free-trial for a while. when I go to 'Manage subscription', it shows that I don't have any subscription. But my membership is still working. Thanks

  • Anyone know if I sign up now when will my free membership expire?

    • 2 months after you sign up?
