  • Good pricing.
Except gold class not avail Thur fri and sat 5pm which is quite restrictive

Also. To this day I cannot tell the difference between vmax and non vmax

    • Seats are bit bigger and more arm rest space for vmax.

    • screen are wider in vmax cinemas and also the sound is dobly atmos(depending on which theater)

      • The vmax screens are smaller than an ordinary Reading Cinema session. I ain't even kidding.

      Thanks for the direct link.

At $18.50/ticket, I'll pass. I pay $12.50/ticket via Telstra Thanks. Vmax would be around $16.50/ticket.

Hoyts Chadstone has recliner seats in every cinema for about $13.50 through Optus Rewards.

      • Just booked a movie with Optus perks.
        $12 base ticket + $3.50 recliner seats + $3.50 extreme screen = $19.
Not that cheap, but for a 2.5 hour movie, reclining seats at that price are good.

        • Which cinema did you book at? For Hoyts, there should not be any extra charges for recliner seats.

        • @thangcuoi: It's like you don't believe me :(
          https://www.optusperks.com.au/Supplierbuy
Surcharges apply for Recliner cinemas ($3.50), Xtreme Screen ($3.50), 3D ($3) and LUX booking fee ($3).

        • @S2:

Sorry, it's not that I don't believe you, I read that Hoyts' new owner promise that they won't charge extra for recliner.

        • @S2:

you also forgot online booking fee

it will be a matter of time before they will charge for toilets or turning the lights off

I don't go to the movies often, but of course I went the day before this was posted and spent $11.75 on a small popcorn and drink.

  • Vmax upgrade surcharge now $5 (from 4), apparently started in Jan 2018. Thumbs down*

  • Great deal for gold class!!

  • probwbly not available for avengers movie

  • It's still the best going to Liverpool event, most days, normal cinema sessions are $10 per ticket, cinebuzz required.

  • Just purchased a Gold Class voucher. You only need a debit Mastercard for them to send you a link, but not necessarily to pay. I used credit Mastercard but I don't see it wouldn't work for any other cards.

  • Can someone share the link to the GC to tickets? The site won’t let me join giving an error the same as another user had.

  • It seems like you can't use CineBuzz points anymore on new release films. Anything that has NFT won't work. You used to be able to use your CineBuzz points for any movies, even upcoming films. Looks like an "Enhancement" from Event Cinemas. Makes the value proposition worse.
