That was show off by clever people
And to this very day most people don't care if the aspect ratio is wrong… It's just that the technology automates the process a little better nowadays.
Exactly. I just remember when people bought widescreen TVs and then watched analogue free-to-air on it (or Foxtel before it went digital)! Idiots.
I found the fix!
You just paste the URL in and it loads an embed player then you click 16:9->4:3 and it will resize the embedded player to force it back to the correct aspect ratio :)
It's not perfect, when you zoom the video using the second slider the site UI doesn't move out of the way and it's not centered properly so the video will overscan if you try to fill the browser vertically. A big improvement over watching it directly on YouTube though.
S1E1 was really good. Dr Vinkus is like a creepy eccentric Gandalf. Not just for kids. Good bedtime viewing.
Lot of hotties came out of this show
agreed. Ryan Gosling is a smokeshow.
Prefer Ryan Reynolds. He's the better Canadian Ryan.
Was thinking more JoAnna Garcia Swisher. Big crush on her as a kid
Elisha Cuthbert was also there, but she looks so different you wouldn't recognise her.
:( I was trying to be tongue-in-cheek. maybe next time lol
Man this show has not aged well.
What makes this think its the official youtube page?

"On September, 2016, All 7 seasons of "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" were made available for free on YouTube."
Yuck - full screen video has been stretched to 16:9. Reminds me of idiots who bought widescreen TVs in the early 2000s and would watch everything stretched to fit the screen.
