The new macbook pros 2016/2017 version come in 2 variants mate. The non-touchbar version (like this one listed here where there is no touchbar control above the keyboard section) and the touchbar version.
The touchbar version of Macbook Pro 13" 2017 has:
- better CPU
- better GPU
- 2 extra USB-C/Thunderbolt ports
- an extra fan which means that the laptop runs quieter and cooler under load
However, they also have significantly less battery life than the non-touchbar version, like 25% less battery life or so. I remember checking notebookcheck.net and they said that the non touchbar version lasted 11 hours in their test and the touchbar version only lasted for 8 hours ish in their test.
Apple still have a non Touch Bar on their website but with a 256GB SSD
This one has been upgraded to 512GB + it has apple care warranty to Nov 2020
So it's brand new but not in box?
Brand new would mean it is sealed one would think
Has anyone had buyers remorse getting the new Macbooks with less ports than the old ones?
yeah if i was going to buy another macbook i would want one that still had magsafe charger port and more usb ports then a phone or tablet
Such a good find! Actually my preferred custom build as I still believe the Touch ID is cool, but the Touch Bar is a gimmick… Too bad it's Silver and not Space Gray, but you can't have everything.
Grey's have confirmed that it's new in box.
Apple mentioned that due to the purchase of apple care being last year its not covered by total damage.
Upgrade on the hardrive is worth $300.
Grey's have reduced the price by $100. Now $2499 without discount.
I thought the new pro has the touchscreen control above keyboard
