For those missed out the recent deal from Coles and Kmart. BIG W is having a half price sales too!

I bought one from Coles in the previous deal but after a month, the device’s lights went out suddenly and couldn’t turn on. I returned it yesterday and saw this deal at BIG W. Went in just now and got a MF910V model (only one model on display cabinet, didn’t see the Z model). Anyone can share your thought on whether V or Z is better?

I am still waiting for this to go back to $10!! Guess it was a life time opportunity….

  • No stock at Big W in Sunshine.

OfficeWorks has the lower-spec 'Z', not the 'V': the 'Z' has a lower mAH battery and single-band wifi; hard to see how they could pretend that it's a non-identical product though.

I've sent OW an e-mail to ask if they will match the 'V' price for a couple of 'Z's: and if they respond "No" it's just abother data point that their 'price match' claim is pretty shallow (based on 1 letter of model number, where the alternative spec is functionally identical). That would be a good test case for VCAT, in my view.
