Got a whole set of Turanza Serenity Plus 215/55/17 about 18 months ago for about $170 each. Can't remember if that's a bargain price or not back then as I didn't bother shopping around to different Bridgestones as Kmart don't stock them.

Worth every cent. Super quiet tyres. Traction in the wet and overall ride comfort is superb, absolutely suberb.

They replaced 4x $100 Chinese tyres (brand was Saline or something, got it from Good Year). These Chinese tyres were the absolute worst, almost half the price but they were incredibly loud. Freeway driving was unbearable and the wear and tear was atrocious.

  • What would be the top five quiet tires on the market today?

Keep in mind that Bridgestone tyre centres have a program that if something happens to the tyre (e.g. we had a puncture), they will replace it and you only pay for what you used. In our case it was near new, so we only paid something like $20 to get it completely replaced (the puncture was unable to be repaired).

It's part of our road hazard warranty. We process a lot of these claims. It's worked out on pro-rata basis. If the tyre is less than 10% used, it's replaced for free. 50% thread, 50% cost etc. It also covers damage due to potholes, gutters etc, even if it was your fault. It doesn't cover slashing of the tyres etc though.

Fyi guys. Jul 2017, there was 4 for price of 3 deal on. Price was $506 total inc balancing and alignment for for 4 Turanza Serenity Plus

  • I do not know much about tires but what would be good for a Honda Accord 2000? Want something that lasts and saves me fuela s almost silent.

  • Picked up a set of ecopia's last time they had this promo. I bought them from jaxx who simply price matched the promo.

All good on a 2009 corolla (15" rim size). No concerns for wet and dry conditions with an average driving style on a combination of city and motorway roads. no towing, so I can't comment on towing.

To be honest I haven't noticed any significant difference in terms of road noise or fuel consumption. I wasn't expecting much anyway.

No significant concerns re tyre wear, but it's still too soon to tell.

My set seem good enough for normal driving.

Has anyone had any experience with GT Radial tyres?

  • Is it just me or is the bridgestone mobile website really bad?

  • +1

You'd be silly not to get RE003 for a daily driver, I paid $104ea in 215/60/16.

  • Does anyone know from experience how much should be expecting for 4 tyred (205/165R16) Potenza.

Also, when getting a quote, do we have select 4 tyres or 3 tyres in the quote section??

    • Got a quote:
      EP300 TL $645
      B390 TL $832

      • $80 wheels alignment.

Tyre quote looks really expensive to me.

  • Guys need help,

Can someone recommend a non-bridgestone tyre that is same in performance (quiet/wet roads/durability) to Turanza Serenity Plus.
I have an old Camry 98 with 185/75/R14 tyres and the Turanzas dont come in that size (no roadworthy).

  • Anyone know the rough pricing for RE003's on 255/35/18 ?

    • I will find out for you tomorrow and let you know.

      • ?

        • Sorry mate, I can't send you a direct message for some reason. Please you please try sending me a private message and I will send you the price. Cheers

Hi guys, I own a Bridgestone Select store in Northern suburbs of Melbourne. Please feel free to message me if you need prices on any Bridgestone tyres. Happy to work out a deal for ozbargain with wheel alignment etc for anyone who lives in the area.

    Thanks

    • If you are in the Northern suburbs, don't walk, Run over to his shop as He will give you a great deal, guaranteed!

    • Looking for something to fit 185/55/15 (Mazda 2) for the mrs, priority is wet safety and noise - any suggestions?

      • Hey mate, I would recommend Ecopia EP300 for your car in that size. They are part of buy 3 get 1 free promo. Please send me a private message and I will get the prices for you. Cheers

        • Mate can you tell how's b249 in terms of wet road, breaking, durability and noise. Can't find any reviews. Reason is i have old camry that needs 185/75 r14

        • @sixsense: Hey mate, there aren't a lot of options in this size. Bridgestone only make B249 and Supercat for this size. B249 is better than Supercat. It's a quieter tyre and will give better grip in the wet. You can also get Michelin Energy-xm2, which will be similar to b249. Cheers

        • Thanks mate. I searched further and found that 205/70/r14 maybe used instead of 185/75/r14 are (stock). Reason being (as per vsi 8, 2011)

The diameter increases by 11 mm (under 15 mm for roadworthy limit)
The height increases by 20 mm (under 25 mm of roadworthy limit)

Can you kindly confirm if this is true

My choice increases a bit with hankook optimo K715.

        • @sixsense:

          sorry mate, missed this comment.

I usually don't recommend going from 185mm to 205mm as it's a huge difference but I will find out the exact answer for you tomorrow and let you know.

        • @All Blacks NZ: let me know mate.

    • hey mate, can you please inbox me prices for a set of 215/45/17?

      • Sure mate, I will send it tomorrow morning. Cheers

  • Got a phone quote for the EP300 Ecopia tyres at $380 after discount for 205/60 R16 from Ferntree Gully Bob Jane, if anyone is interested.

  • I need to buy 2 265/35/R19 Potenza rear tyres in the next month or so, rrp is about $550. Front tyres are fine for now. I also need an alignment.

Should I be able to get 25% off RRP if I only want 2 of these tyres, plus an alignment?

If not then I'll have to buy 2 spare front tyres as well and store them somewhere, which is obviously not ideal.

    Edit - I don't live in Melbourne.

    • Unfortunately the offer only applies when you buy 4 tyres together as the system is set up to make the 4th tyre free. It doesn't take 25% off each tyre. Depending on the condition of the front tyres, you can buy them and store them in an area away from sun and rain. Tyres have shelf life of 5 years if stored correctly. The store should be able to fit the front tyres for free when you are ready to change. Good luck.

  • Just bought 4 185/60R15 84H EP100 $143ea + Wheel alignment $46 = $475
for Toyota yaris 2006 in Revesby

    It's so expensive.

    • If it's expensive, why proceed with it? Did you get quotes from any other places.
But as tyres integral part of a vehicle, rest assured that you would reap the benefits.

  • Which is the better tyre Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus TL 215/60R16 95V, Bridgestone Potenza Adrenalin RE003 TL 215/60R16 95V or Bridgestone Ecopia EP300 TL 215/60R16 95V. Same price of $405 for 4 pcs for the three types.

    • +1

Turanza is highway luxury tyre. Quiet, long lasting and good handling.
Potenza is sports tyre. Great handling however being a softer compound, won't last as long as Turanza.
Ecopia is Eco friendly and fuel saving tyre.

Which tyre to use depends on your use case. If you drive a lot, I would choose Turanza. If it's a sporty car and you take corners fast, Potenza is your best bet. Given the choice between Turanza and Ecopia, I would chose Turanza everyday. Hope this helps.

      • Thks!

      • Is there much different between the Turanza Serenity Plus TL and the Turanza T001 TL? With the 3 for 4 price what is the best price should I be expected to pay? Thanks

        Edit: Size = 215/60/R16 95V

  • I'm waiting for buy 3 get 2 free :)

But seems when you replace 4, they offer 6 month free roadside assistance…

  • I know nothing about cars or tyres. Help.
I currently have 205/65/R15 on my older Holden Commodore.
Can I replace with 205/55R15 on the same wheels?
I'm looking at the Potenza Adrenalin RE003 but they don't seem to come in the same size as my last tyres.

  • RE003 195/55R16 $149ea. F/R alignment $66. ACT Fyshwick

  • Just got quoted 4 x Potenza Adrenalin RE003 205/55R16 @ $139 = $556
    * Buy 3 get 4th free = $417
    * KTAS price beat @$5 a tyre = $402 ($100.50 each)

Using Kmart 5% Off gift cards to pay = $382
