  • Audiophile techno-babble does not work unless you set the price higher, say $99.95 .

Actually I’ve bought cheap adapters like this before and they often conduct ambient electricity or something but a lot of them cause a buzz in the audio. Not properly insulated or something I dunno, but a lot of cheap adapters are instant garbage.

This supplier sold the bad quality product, a few weeks ago I bought two Bluetooth earphones, the quality is bad, and one can't charge after received it 3 days later. I tried to contact the Zapals through help ticket but not any response, and the mobile phone is always not answered. Is NOT recommend ordering from this website.

Haha don't tell me you spent anymore than 50c at Zapals? Either way, if you got one of those $3 Bluetooth earphone things you can't expect them to be good. It's like complaining about that $2 pair of headphones you got at the train station…

Not sticking up for Zapals or anything, but at least know that the quality isn't going to be great before you buy something.

      • you look familiar the product…

I paid few dollar to buy it, yes, not expect good, just expect the acceptable quality, unfortunately, it is too bad and doesn't work. And the no customer service is unacceptable as well. Never buy anything from this site again.

I know what the product is, but that doesn't mean I'm overly familiar with it.

It was cheaply made in China using no safety standards. I think it's actually lucky that you got a dud, because they don't have to abide by any rules when making it, just that it semi works, for a while.

Either way, you lost $3. Even if you had returned it (and used PayPal's free return shipping as the shipping would've been much more than $3), there would've been maybe 4 weeks to get to China, an exchange for another one of similar quality (as they are all built like that) 4 weeks later. Now you've waited 8 weeks. It's over $3!!!
I know this is Ozbargain, but sometimes you've just gotta let some things go.

  • gold plating technology??.. lol.. electroplating

Also very unlikely to be "oxygen-free-copper", or any form of copper at all.

Typically plugs and sockets are made of plated steel. Try using a magnet - you'll almost certainly find the plug sticks strongly to a magnet.

      • It's definitely steel underneath the copper plating.. the plating is about 0.05-0.5 micromillimeters thick. So even if the magnetic permeability of the plating alloy was low it wouldn't make much of a difference.

  • I bought a water swivel head from Zapals on 31/12/2017. I have never received it, and Zapals kept telling me to wait for its arrival.
    What a terrible service!
It was only 0.55USD, but I will never buy from Zapals again

So open a PayPal dispute, problem solved.

  • I paid $1 for this last week. Might buy another one.

  • I bought a led key chain from them 7 weeks ago… Till today, it's not delivered and I've not got any help from their support… Becareful

I bought a braided iPad charging cable from them a couple of weeks ago and it has just turned up , no complaints

Total outlay less than a dollar

    Good stuff

  • I bought a USB-C to 3.5mm adapter from them late last year.
Doesn't work on my Android phone or my desktop computer.
Not salty though, free shit is free shit.

Watch out for these adapters though. What you might find with this one is that when you remove it from the amplifier, the tip breaks off and stays in the jack.

    • Reminds me of the Murphy's law joke, where the $1 million computer blows to save the 10 cent fuse. Not worth blowing a phone with a 10 cent cable or adaptor.
