      Challenge accepted 🤣

Brand new, never used, RTX 3060 Ti 8GB out of a Dell for $549, more than ten available. I offered the seller $509 and he accepted.

      https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/255682815592

If you think that is a crap card, apparently it isn’t.

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhY7LVWgUNM

      • That does seem like a good deal, but at that pricing and the sellers willingness to down it by 40$ begs the question that this isn't entirely new as stated? I could be wrong though but i doubt someone would sell an RTX 3060 Ti for just $500

        • +2

          Look at his feedback

I’m putting it into a Dell G5 I bought for $700 last year when sellers like him bought them to pull out the graphics card.

Now the tide has turned and the PC is worth more than the graphics card.

          • @Grok: Used or new, if it can last a while then it's totally worth it imo. @FireRunner did mention that it probably won't have warranty but if it doesn't fail then heck yea

      • +1

Downside is that these OEM cards won’t have any warranty. Not a bad deal if you’re willing to take that risk.

      • I have a Dell G5 from a few years back with a 1660Ti. Is it worth $500 to upgrade to the 3060Ti? I've already added extra RAM up to 32Gb.

        • +1

Depends what games you play and what resolution. Definitely a huge jump though, high graphics at 1440p for most games.

If you game at 1080p/60hz and have an old cpu it might not be a huge bump for you.

        • +1

Make sure your G5 has the 500 watt power supply like mine. It’s platinum rated and a very good unit. It has an 8pin power connector standard.

          Otherwise it won’t run it.

          • @Grok: My G5 has a 460 watt power supply. That should still be ok, yeah?

            • +1

@Stalker: Probably be fine, the 3060Ti is not that power hungry a GPU all things considered. See the video I posted, it runs fairly cool.

My PS says 500w platinum rated.

My G5 originally came with a RTX 3070 but they pulled the card out and sold the PC to me.

              • @Grok: Cool thanks - will give it a go. :)

    • +1

      they have their license

Good to know - won't have to pick them up in the middle of the night from parties.

      • 😂😂😂

I meant as in ABN license

    • SE want how much for this opened box, second-hand GPU? are you kidding?

      • Not exactly second-hand as it works like a normal GPU with a box, except without a box. Products labeled “open box” mean that the item packaging has been opened, but never used or at least used once then returned to the manufacturer for another one, once the manufacturer inspects the open product they deem it working and give it a discount just without the box.

      • +1

Dont think it’s used, says it’s got three year warranty

    • upgrading from a 1070 8gb what should i get??

      • What's your budget? If u allocated less than $400 for ur gpu then I would recommend the RX 6600 non-xt at just $348, otherwise If you can squeeze more u can get the RX 6600XT for just $437.

        • ive had the system for years anything under $600 just looking for a cheap bargain upgrade the rest of my pc is all high end but a couple years old now

          • @bob98: At that price If you want something powerful then I'd probably recommend the 6700XT as its only for around $595, much cheaper than the RTX 3070 and much more powerful than the 3060 Ti. At 12GB VRAM and 192 bits you can expect it to last for very long. Just my opinion! Good luck

      • For sales yes, I don't see any permanent price without a sale though. Most are $550

    • Why are ppl up voting???? Is it bots? Not a deal at alll

Samsung Xcover Pro 6 128Gb for $233 at MyDeal here Only 4 left after I grabbed one. Bought in haste and still researching it now, but it looks good. Their RRP is $1000+, but a quick search shows it's in the $800 range. Hope it helps someone. Hope mine lands

    • +2

Cheers grabbed one. Let’s see what happens

      • Thanks. Glad a familiar name is on board.

      • Received XCover Pro, 64GB today via Catch.

        • Are you going to keep it?

Mydeal offered me $20 compensation or to return it.

          • @stickymoo: Nah I doubt it, surely there'd be a better deal for the lower model?
But it probably would be better than my S8. Wonder if Catch will resolve any differently.

            • @snoopydoop: I'm assuming it's probably grey import too..
Does it look new or refurbished?

              • @stickymoo: I haven't opened the box, and the "Samsung seal" is still on indicating it hasn't been opened. But the box itself seems quite worn.

                • @snoopydoop: Exactly the same here. I had contacted the seller, who "confirmed" it was 128GB. Will speak with the family this evening and contact MyDeal to see what they offer. $215, or even $235, still seems like a decent price for a two-year-old Samsung, even though the process has been a bit dodgy.

                  • @TooSerious2: Oooh interesting. Given you had a confirmation I think you could definitely push harder.

I do notice that when you google the phone, on Samsung's website it has a preview of "$79, sold out", so I wonder if this was a historically low price?

        • Sorry to hear you guys received the wrong item :(
I had a feeling so I cancelled that same night and got refunded by the seller, so I have nothing to share unfortunately

        • I’m glad I didn’t order. I remember I saw the 3 left remaining but I didn’t budge impulse ordering.

But now that it’s confirmed people got the older model. I own a Realme C3 3gb ram, 64gb (194,170 Antutu score, 390 single-core / 1310 multi-core Geekbench score) which has nearly the same benchmarks as the 64gb XCover Pro (180,011 Antutu score, 323 single-core / 1120 multi-core Geekbench score). What this means is it’s not good for the performance and price.

While the 128gb Xcover6 Pro (488,000 Antutu score, 766 single-core / 2722 multi-core Geekbench score) has more than double the performance. I’d ask for partial refund or return because of the mix up to be honest. Sad to see you got something else.

          • @moto: I guess you never know if you don't play!

The interesting part of this phone for me is the ruggedness, as well as the removeable battery (although I can't actually find where to buy extras at this point). So I think the straight-up specs aren't necessarily fully comparable in this instance.

I think I'll probably keep it if they knock it down by like 50% for me, which seems unlikely but we'll see.

    • SAMSUNG GALAXY XCOVER PRO 128GB, Midnight Black
      SAMSUNG GALAXY XCOVER PRO

I would be extremely surprised if the main title, description title and web address were not correct and the description text was correct.

This will be the old model.

      • Don't believe the old model comes in 128gb, from what I can see?

    • Thanks, trying for it. Went via Catch which has the same seller selling at same price.

Still researching, had never heard of it. Love the idea of removable batteries - can you buy spares/multi-charging dock?

What are main drawbacks compared to say, S22?

      Sold by skyphonez on mydeal

Is this the same model cheaper at skyphonez

      • +1

Yep. I'd pay the extra $10 via a third party site for the protection though. Probably gonna end up being a hassle.

        • I guess it's good to see both model/ descriptions by the seller is also the same. Hopefully it's the new model.

          I went through mydeal

          • @stickymoo: Yeah seems to be consistent across the board which is good. Plus I don't see any models except the 6 that have 128gb, could be wrong though.

      • +1

Is this the same model cheaper at skyphonez

The SkyPhonez page gives the EAN as 887276467689. That points to an AT&T 64GB XCover Pro (under Features & specs). That would match the price I guess.

        • That's what I noticed too when I searched the EAN.

        • Hopefully not!

Hey is there anywhere that could offer an online price match to Catch/MyDeal if they happened to add stock back? Guessing we'll end up with this 64gb phone but who knows.

Clicked here to buy a kayak…

  • I'd be happy with that, but listing mentions 6/128Gb and Snapdragon processor. AT&T is 4/64 and exynos. I live in hope but expect a cancellation.

    • The user reviews are a little on the low side

      • For the 6? Or for the skyphone place?

        • The older version. skyphonez has terrible reviews too. I have decided not to purchase previously because it was through them.

Went for it this time though through mydeal

          • @stickymoo: Hoping it goes through! If it does it should be a big step up from my S8

            • @snoopydoop: Even if it is not the new version?

I'm on the pixel 2xl at the moment..

It'll be good if it is the 6 with 6gb ram/128gb SSD

              • +1

@stickymoo: Probably a bit of a step up, but not sure if this is really a good price for the older version, so wouldn't accept at that price.

Nice, I think that was the competitor to the S8, I reckon we're in the same boat!

                • @snoopydoop: Old version with 4gb ram & 64gb SSD my be a bit disappointing.. it's hard to say!

                  • +1

@stickymoo: Yeah maybe, that's what I'm on now and surely processor would be more efficient, plus faster ram i'm guessing? Plus camera would likely be a step up.

But want a larger step up so that I can go another 5 years with my next phone too

                    • @snoopydoop: A33 is on the Telstra Day list at $350, which is a good price. Now, do I wait in hope for this or …

                      • @TooSerious2: Could resell this one if it actually comes through. Think it's unlikely to be the new one.

      Hi McFly,
Thank you for reaching out to us. Hope you are doing well.

We are really sorry for the inconvenience caused as it is the listing error due to some technical fault. Thank you for highlighting the mistake, I have asked the concerned team to correct this error.

We'll be revising this listing soon. If you have any queries please do contact us.
Looking forward to doing business with you.

The RYOBI 18V 40cm (16”) Brushless Lawn Mower 6.0Ah Kit comes with a high-performance 6.0Ah battery and a 2A charger. The battery communicates actively with the lawn mower, using load-sensing technology to increase performance or extend runtime as required.

The lawn mower is durable and easy to manoeuvre with a strong yet lightweight EASYEDGE polymer 40cm deck. Its quick-release telescoping handles allow for quick set-up and compact vertical storage.

This brushless lawn mower can run on 1 or 2 batteries. A second battery will increase performance by up to 25% and extend the runtime up to 20 minutes (up to 40 minutes total) – great for medium-sized backyards. An LED fuel gauge shows the current battery life and helps you prevent overloading.

The mower comes with a generous 50L grass catcher and a mulch plug for added versatility. Its simple 2-stage operation lets you get the mower going instantly, and its single-point 5-stage height adjustment helps you easily change the cutting height to suit the length of the grass.

Experience the difference of intelligent brushless motors: more power, longer runtimes, and extended motor life. Pick up a RYOBI 18V 40cm (16”) Brushless Lawn Mower 6.0Ah Kit today.

    • Is this any good for long thick grass?

      • No

      • Depends how long and thick you're talking. The mower has plenty of power but obviously if it needs to cut long thick grass it will use the batteries up more quickly. I'm in Brisbane so grass goes relatively dormant over winter, but I left my first spring mow a couple of weeks late and actually used up the twin 6ah batteries and had to go to my two 5ah batteries (I have a lot of Ryobi tools) to finish the job, but I also cut the lawn to the second lowest setting. I'm on a 520 sqm block with a fairly normal amount of front and rear grass.

      • I've got an old non brushless model and have done 600mm+ tall grass several times. It'll use more battery but the trick is to pop a wheelie with it and push through blade first rather than allowing the front of the mower to push the grass over flat. I've had mine for 4 years doing a 240sqm lawn and been so happy with it I'm actually thinking of upgrading to this model for the dual battery, wider cut path and larger catcher.

      • If you are concerned (and have the cash) I would step up to the 36V range and specifically the Ryobi 36V HP™ 46cm 6.0Ah Brushless Cordless Lawn Mower Kit which takes two batteries. The cheaper model has spots for two batteries, but only uses one at a time.

    • +1

I bought this a few weeks ago. It's definitely the best of the 18v Ryobi mowers. You can have two batteries at once in it for extra power.

      • have you used any other mowers of Ryobi?

    • How many in stock?

      • Look like 2, unsure if worth the hour drive down

    • Been running this since the start of the year and been very happy with it. I use it in twin 6ah batteries and get through mowing pretty comfortably on those every two weeks or so in Brisbane on a 520 sqm block. Build quality is way better than cheaper mowers in the range so it's a bit heavier, but it is much sturdier. If you're in the Ryobi 18v battery environment and looking to get a mower, or upgrade an existing Ryobi mower, this is the one to get.

    • +1

I went to my local Bunnings and they couldn’t do price match. I wish they sell with this price in Sydney as well 😓

      • I'll say, that's a real bargain, it's $399 skin only. Been thinking about upgrading my 4 year old one to this model. Would rush out and buy it today at that price.

    • This is cheap, I remember paying mid $500 for mine. Reason why I bought this over others is because it can stand upright so very convenient to store. Most units can't do that.

    • Could you upload a copy of your receipt? That's a great price, want to try my luck with price match at my local store. Thanks

      • Did you manage to get a copy of the receipt?

This is the oooonly electric one thats any good out of all of them

      • Ego is better, don't let the 82v fool you

        • Ego is only better because they still make them. Its a shame Briggs & Stratton went bankrupt when they did during covid, the victa is a better mower.

    • -2

Given the second hand listings, 82V systems are the first ones to give up. Keep receipt!
Got mine for $50 with batt and charger missing. If I get to it I mount 4 Ozito usb adaptors to it and run the beast on 4 tool batteries!

I use as a brush cutter in pretty dense bush.
        Trimmer goes thru everything.
        Chainsaw has tonnes of power.
        Mower never stalls.

    • -1

pull the electric motor off and put a Briggs and Stratton 5hp on it

    • Don't know if they still have them but Hoppers Crossing had 6 of them for $414 when we were in yesterday. I mentioned it on another post. At the back of the paint section in the central walkway..

    • +5

Word of warning with the Victa 82v range, they are a discontinued line, they are a briggs and stratton battery that have a high failure rate and the batteries are really difficult to come by now. Mower cuts great but I'd stick clear of the 82v ecosystem as you'd be doing well to get 3 years out of the batteries (warranty is 2 btw)

      • +1

I think people adapt another similar battery, dont they? Greenworks?

      • I think it depends on how much you pay. At full rrp they're probably not the best long term buy unless there is easier access to batteries. I've had 2 from my 80v system which don't charge due to being over drained… They were brand new in the box but I didn't open until 3yrs later.. Lol.. My bad. But same with all batteries. The ryobi 36v batteries are notorious for the battery error. You can sometimes revive them by taking off the battery cover and jumping then reset apparently. This hasn't worked for me though. That's said, non genuine 36v are about 100 bucks so not exactly going to send you broke. 82v generics however are a little challenging with different groves etc in the casings to stop using across different platforms.

        • Most over-drained batteries can be manually charged with a constant current power source if you can get to the terminal/cell level.

      • +1

One of my Victa 82V batteries died just within the 2 year warranty period. Bunnings contacted Victa and they are sending out a new battery. It has been delayed though, so will take a couple of months for the replacement battery to arrive.

    • +3

I wanted to get this mower a couple years ago and then Bunnings stopped selling it as Briggs & Stratton went bankrupt…I'd be concerned about any warranty or replacement parts. There also seems to be a problem buying new batteries (see whirlpool link below). I think there is a good reason these are on clearance
      https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/3wjx7qn9

At risk of being mocked by those who think everyone needs a steel deck, just buy a 36V Ryobi. I did, and haven't regretted it at all (it's also lighter and easier to move around)

I bought this 2 years ago (and the 82v line trimmer kit), a month ago one of the batteries died and none in Australia unknown time to get a new one (under warranty). Ended up returning the whole mower to Bunnings for refund and bought a 36v ryobi mower which I actually think is doing a better job than my 82v victa. The ryobi has a no load speed of 3600 rpm vs the victa with 2800rpm.

    • I have the 82v system and ryobi 36v. The victa is absolutely fantastic. So much power. I don't know why the product line hasn't been successfully in Australia. The Tesla of garden tools. Parts and batteries are a little hard to come by however I stocked up so am well covered. The batteries are available from the US as a Kobalt or Greenworks version which with some dremeling, will fit. In fact the 80v battery fits with some dremeling of the case too. Don't knock it until you've tried it. Ryobi warranty and support might give it the win overall but the 82v in my opinion is definitely the better system and product.

    • Speed vs Torque.
I have both systems and find the 82v is stronger. The ryobi trimmer is noisy whereas the victa is rather quiet and has superior build quality. My 36v mower stalls on thicker grass but absolutely no issue with the victa.

    • -3

Don’t buy any battery powered mower if you have Sir walter/ sapphire buffalo unless you like mowing every three days in summer. They are just not powerful enough for thick lush lawns

      • Which battery mowers have you tried?

        • -1

Not personally but my FIL bought a 36v ryobi. Was so bad we as a family got together and bought him a victa 82v mower similar to above for big birthday present cost was around $900. Would bog down in slightly wet grass returned after 6 months as the battery had died. I now mow for them using my uncles early 90s built old Honda

      • I have Ego 56v and it absolutely loves my Sir Walter.
Don't buy Ryobi 36v, that couldn't get the job done.

      • I have 100sqm of Sir Walter. I use the Victa 82v. No problems even with 1foot high grass. You just use the spare battery.

      Another bargain destined for landfill

      • +2

Bought mine for ~$700 in early 2017, use it weekly and still going strong (same battery). It lost the 'I' from the VICTA badging at the front but otherwise does the job.

        • +1

What happens when the battery no longer holds charge?

          • @00: eBay seller has them here

Can also be purchased (here) plus postage for cheaper but admittedly it's a steep price for a battery only.

Mine's still okay for another Summer then I'll decide what to do.

          • @00: You can just get the cells replaced. Call around at battery and solar places to find one that does it

            • @Foodstamps: Should say too you wouldn't normally do this for most battery packs but the parts in these are quality and it makes $ sense to just replace the cells.

          • @00: You can make the greenworks 80v battery fit by making an extra groove in the side of the battery case. They are available for $180 at Costco.
            https://www.costco.com.au/Home-Improvement/Tools/Tool-Access…

            • @masuta: You sure? Is this just a hunch, or you've done it? Thanks in advance :)

              • +2

@rawm: Positive. Here is one that someone has modified and selling:
                https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/204087435828?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mk…

                • @masuta: Boss.

Im a noob. How would one actually make this groove safely? Hammer and small/fine chisel?

                  • +1

@rawm: I would personally use a router but you could also use a Dremel. You could probably hand file it but it would be a slow process.
                    Here is a guide:
                    https://www.smartfamilymoney.com/use-greenworks-batteries-ko…

                    • @masuta: Thanks heaps, masuta - I don't have a Dremel but will look into this later in the year when my battery dies.

                      • @rawm: Perhaps just swap the plastic cases over? IE rehouse the new 'guts' into your old battery?

                        • +1

@King Tightarse: If your battery hastotally died then I would definately try to change the case over. Not sure if it will fit but worth a try! If you want to add more batteries to your system then I would be cutting grooves into the greenworks batteries. However recently there has been new stock of the Victa batteries listed on several mower shops, they are just more expensive than the greenworks.
                          Eg: https://bwmachinery.com.au/product/victa-82v-2-0ah-battery/

                        • @King Tightarse: Decisions, decisions…

                          1. Buy a whole new electric mower ~$600
                          2. Buy a Greenworks battery and add a groove somehow ~$180
                          3. Buy a new Victa Battery ~$299
                          • +1

@rawm: I would absolutely buy the Greenworks ( and perhaps one of those Ozito dremels)
If your original battery is dead or nearly dead, then it would be simplest to just swap the plastic cases over.
If not, I would get busy with the dremel
That being said, if you are time poor or dont mind spending the extra $100, the Victa may be worth it for you as you would get a guarantee with it

        • +1

Ha same here :) will be a shame when the battery eventually dies as it’s been a pretty good mower for my needs.

      • +1

Also have this mower and it's a cracker. Batteries and spares are a concern because it never really took off here

    • What's the warranty on these, if it's 6 years like ryobi then worth it

      • It's not 6 years like Ryobi! Pretty sure it's 2years on the battery, but I wouldn't take the risk, especially if you can't get it replaced

        • Uh yeah 2 year on battery ruins it

      • The mower has 5 year warranty.

    • I have a feeling most people will be buying this for the battery for their existing Victa stuff and selling the mower for $50 on gumtree

      • Selling a discontinued battery-powered mower without a battery on Gumtree? 'Yeah-nah …'

    • Wonder if bunnings offers any support to people who purchased this previously. I spent 1k on the mower and whipper during covid.

Bought a genuine battery off ebay. Was 100g lighter than the original. Lasted about 6 months or 20 charges.

Will be going back to petrol

      • +3

That battery doesn't sound very genuine. I have two batteries for mine and each is going strong after 3 years

      • Yo tams, what/when is 'during covid' supposed to mean? What seller did you buy that dud battery from 'off' Ebay? You should seek a refund or replacement for that dud battery.

    • For battery life, do not leave batteries in the shed. Heat is their enemy.

Maths does not add up. They say 2x 144Wh batteries, and 2Ahr each. … Oh I see, 82V is really only 72V (4x18).
So each battery is equivalent to 18V @ 8Ahr. Nice.

Better specs on the box than normal. It is a 1200W brushless DC motor.

    • Also store them at 50% charge in the house if not using them regularly.

    • Plenty of batteries available on eBay, and you can buy them new from Costco - https://www.costco.com.au/Home-Improvement/Tools/Tool-Access… - but note that you'll need to file away the plastic channel on the side because it's in a slightly different place to the Victa branded version. These 80v/82v units are sold under multiple brand names.

    • Just buy an electric and use an extension lead, I've been doing it for years and it's a non issue even on a very large property that takes 4 hours to mow each week.

Poor B&S, they've been in and out of all sorts of financial issues for decades.

      • corporate greed apparently.

        • Oh that's not good :(
          Iconic brand.

Spotted the deal (clearance) at the local Officeworks (Southport, QLD). I assume there will be limited stocks as there is no information available on the website. It is roughly $150 cheaper than the last brand new deal.

Released in 2020, it is not the newest model available, but it is one generation older flagship model. Compared to the S8+ (which has the same chassis as S7+), if the extra processing power and fewer extra OS updates don't bother you, (for me, it does) I think it will be a good tablet to purchase.

Inspires so much confidence. Are we talking about GFX Cards or the Qantas Boeing fleet?

      • Presumably if all 4 cards were from the same miner, they could have been undervolted for optimal power consumption, and thus running at slightly lower temps. On the other hand, the mining rig could have been in a garage and be subjected fluctuations in the air if the garage isn't well sealed.

it doesn't magically become "equivalent $99"?
you still need to actually pay a real $149

    • What store was this at?

    • I checked my local Bunnings where one of those was listed as being in stock, it would go well with the 2x 9 panel Canvas kits I picked up there on clearance for about fiddy bucks each a while back. They had two empty display boxes on the shelf, and they even scanned at $17 rather than the $26 mentioned here, but they couldn't find the actual items and reckoned the one listed in the computer was just the display box.

there should be dozens left in most states (https://nrby.in/bunnings/0038095), but the price wont be 0.35 everywhere. I got 3 from Stafford for $5 each. The solar panel outputs 5v through a bullet plug and the main unit has a 2500mAh 18650 on a 2 pin plug.

      • Damn that's a no brainer at that price. I bought similar ones for $2 and theve been great (apart from a few issues)

One thing I've found is that small solar panels aren't designed for Australian UV, so they go cloudy in a year or two. I'm in the process of experimenting with a clear UV resistant coating to see if that stops it

        • I’d be interested in seeing those results.

        • clear UV resistant coating to see if that stops it

If it's resisting the UV by blocking it entirely, then be prepared for the panel output to drop dramatically 😎

      • That one wasn't self propelled, so probably different stock

      • Apart from being different models. Yes there's a 100% chance the batteries are 2 years old and are completely ruined already after sitting around because they didn't sell when the last deal was posted!

        • +1

Not sure about you but 2 years of sitting around doesn't ruin a 4ah battery if it's started the 2 years around 60%. It might be flat by now, but unless the battery is flat or fully charge then it's considered properly stored, and we all know that Li-ion batteries are among the best at holding their charge

Thing about Milwaukee batteries is … they design them for current delivery over cell life, so ya gunna be buying batteries unless you charge them early and often.

Thing about Makita batteries … they make em robust.

      • Can I ask what model kit you bought? Did it contain a High Torque Impact Wrench? They alone are $495 in Makita.

I bought when they were $949

I have the Makchinese version of the rattle gun, the LXT's fit it … it's no where as good and I only use it for building lighter weight stuff away from the shed and as it has a 1/4" drive recess built in, it backs me while building wooden stuff when I'm using different screws with different heads, I have a second hand 240v version of the 1/2 drive and it rips!

I have a Makita 125mm angle grinder and the Makchinese knock off, there's little between those 2 though, both my knock offs get almost daily use and are 2.5yrs old.

I'm embarrassed to admit I purchased some Ozito stuff before buying my property, Would gladly have the $ back for that rubbish!

            • If a store has a Demo Stand, with cameras, etc. setup on them, those display units will be shown as stock in the store through Nrby but are not available for sale (they go back to the manufacturer, apparently).

            • Bunnings have a nearly identical item - same box and specs - that is not a quit stock line and will scan up at $299 per unit. Almost got stung for $249 more than I expected at the checkout.

    Go to Deal

This is the newer version of the Cygnett ChargeUp Pro 20k with 65W input and output maximum, instead of 45W. There is low stock, but thought it's worth sharing as I haven't seen any deals posted for it.

Highly recommend to price match with JB Hi-Fi and using the $10 perks voucher to bring it down to $100.60. There are other listings in Kogan and eBay that are around $110-$120, but I don't think can be used to price match with JB Hi-Fi.

Merged from Haworth Fern Task Chair for $990 ($0 Pickup in Melbourne/Sydney, $125 Shipping to Metro Areas) @ StylecraftOUTLET
    Go to Deal
    Coupon Code: OUTLET40

Been looking and researching for an office chair past couple of weeks and came across Stylecraft being listed as a Haworth dealer. Upon further lurking at Stylecraft website, stumbled upon their outlet webstore where they sell new/sample/ex-stock/demo products at reduced prices. Currently there's a promo going on for 40% off on top of listed prices.

I confirmed with their rep via email that the listed variant indeed comes with the additional lumbar support, forward tilt option, 4D arms and a standard Haworth 12 year warranty as the item is listed as new.

Officeworks variant doesn't come with the lumbar support and has only height adjustable arms so this was an easy decision. 11 remaining at the time of posting.

They have the Zody with 4D arms and nylon base for $609 as well, which I was initially looking into. But after trying both chairs in the Melbourne CBD showroom I found Fern to be more suitable for me.

There are other demo options available but do not come with a warranty hence I opted for the 'new' chair instead.

The Officework site says it had built in lumbar support in the second image in the gallery.

    • Anyone that owns a fern with a headrest do you think it is worth the additional dollars? I have tried the chair in Haworth's Melbourne showroom, unfortunately there was no headrest option available. Judging by the photos it doesn't look like it would be very comfortable.

        Headrests are a waste imo

    • $429 shipping to Hobart kills it for me… I guess metro areas means Melbourne and Sydney only. Great find though!

      $26 online. Great grab

      • -1

Strange, the regular price is $6 so this is a 50% off deal, save $3.

You sure the one you found online was the same?

    • Anyone finding this on clearance at other stores?

    • Damn good find. I would have bought them all if I was there.

      • Broden, is that you?

        • I do not think he would of bought to resell.
In the photo, the other kit is $29. I would of just bought a few for the oil.

    • I have a circa 1970 Briggs and Stratton lawn mower. Are these service kits fit to all models?

      • The spark plug and filter inside are for specific but common models. Its not one size fits all.

      • the fact that you have a 53 year old mower that is still working is just amazing keep up the great maintenance 👍

        • Hasn’t missed a beat with the old cast iron block. Was my grand fathers then my dads and now mine. Services every few years and it’s due for a new plug I reckon so was curious if I could just change the oil and plug myself.

          • @Skramit: oil changes are pretty straightforward. As for the spark plug, probably would need to watch some general youtube tutorials on older models but would probably be difficult to find a video about the exact model due to the age

          • @Skramit: From a quick google image search the spark plug looks like any other style. Just unscrew it. Use an appropriate sized socket or spanner if it's not blocked by the fins. Then screw in the new one

This is Seiko's classic hit blue moon cocktail time watch.

This model line is known as the “Cocktail Time”, originally created in 2010, the Cocktail Time was a collaboration with Ishigaki Shinobu, a prolific Japanese bartender and mixologist. As its name implies, the designs are intended to help capture that look, with brilliant, shimmering guilloche dials in various colours and slim, shining markers – evoking the stem of a cocktail glass.

This model is the “Blue Moon” - after the cocktail of the same name, it is made in Japan, with the deep blue fade-out sunray dial, date window, 40.5mm stainless steel case & bracelet, domed “Hardlex” mineral crystal, exhibition case-back, automatic movement with 41-hour power reserve and 50m water resistance.

    Hey guys,
I’m sure some of you already saw this deal but nobody posted about it yet. TGG have electric scooters on sale. The Fiido D12 Electric Bike was also listed for $244 however I’ve called and it seems they’re completely out of stock Australia wide. The Himo H1 still has stock available depending on your areas. I know it looks a bit weird but $244 is the cheapest I’ve seen for this little e-scooter. Good deal if you’re after something like this!

    • +1

I wish these had a proper 300w motor in them! As it stands every review says they are totally gutless for anyone other than a child or very small adult.

      • nah it can do 18km on a 77kg person

        • Which isn't even as fast as a slow pedal bicycle. If it had a 300-350w motor like all the basic e-scooters out there, it'd be able to do 25 (and 30 with an unlock) with ease, which is a huge step up.

    Go to Deal

Came across this good cleaner on sale and grabbed one.

    • Bought one of these a few years ago, they're an awesome unit… Seriously looking at the bigger one for doing the carpets as well

      • Yer same. Only issue is storing it.

    • Great price on the turbo unit

I think it’s usually $279 on Good Guys Commercial, so possibly cheaper now?

      Just checked $295

    • Called a spot clean for a reason folks. If anyone thinks they can do rooms of carpet with something like this and get a good job done you laughing.

    • +2

As per the label, it's clearance stock because it's the older discontinued 15582 "Bissell SpotClean Turbo" as opposed to the current 33862 "Bissell SpotClean Turbo + Antibac". The only difference seems to be that …the small sample bottle of cleaner you get is the anti-bacterial stuff now. Bizarre that it's an entirely new SKU because of that, but besides killing bacteria, I imagine it also kills most casual attempts to price-match.

      • +1

I went into a deep dive of this and in my research it's a deliberate move by Bissell. It's extremely difficult to find answers and reviews on their product line:

Product line up is almost illogical. E.g. 1 model will come with the stain trapper tool useful for cleaning nasty pet stains but another model will come with anti-bacterial formula. Wouldn't they go well together?
Product is non tiered, each model usually differs by 1 or 2 features.
Difficult to cross shop and find reviews. Overseas models have their own name and look.
The product descriptions are vague, no tools on their website to compare models.
Some models are store exclusive. The Spot Clean Max Professional Turbo Champion Edition Ex Plus Alpha is a Harvey Norman exclusive.

In the end I got the Spot Clean Turbo + Anti Bac because I figured the powerful suction is most important to me. But I also want the stain trapper tool and heated water filament but Bissell knows better!

    • did they have many in stock ? or is tempe like a clearance good guys store ?

    • I placed an order of "Bissell SpotClean Turbo + Antibac" for $270 from thegoodguys commercial. When I picked it up and saw this. Not sure if they are confusing 15582 "Bissell SpotClean Turbo" with 33862 "Bissell SpotClean Turbo + Antibac".

    • Be careful the normal Bissell spot cleaner left big water stains on my couch and bench so I need to get them professionally cleaned now but I have used it on my dining chairs and it cleaned them well. Different fabrics need different methods of cleaning so be careful.

Athletes Foot has some good clearance deals on previous model shoes - particularly in 2E width - e.g. New Balance 860 v12 - https://www.theathletesfoot.com.au/new-balance-860-v12-2e-me….
I was able to use online chat on R3b3l sports to price-match which opens up a number of different size options should the initial store be out of stock (make sure you mention a size in stock though). The coupon is delivered by email a couple of hours after chat.

BigW is clearing Coca-Cola No Sugar Bottle 1.25L and Fanta Orange Bottle 1.25L for 70c each. Very few stores so I didn't want to post it as a regular post. If you want to try to post as a regular post feel free.

    • Great find! Only a few stores which have some near me but not convenient to get to so would negate the savings. Definitely sufficient quantity to post as a deal though

      • +1

Sometimes I find too many people complain that there is no stock with these BigW ones. I could really only find a few stores across Australia. Didn't really want to go and list all the stores around Australia. Not in the mood to do it this morning. If you guys want to post feel free. Don't feel like you need to list the stores just because I made the comment about it. That's just a part of me that won't go away when I do things. Sometimes it's great, sometimes not…

        • +2

Yeh I agree with you there. And the expectation from some people on this platform is to have all the information listed for them and posters don't actually get anything for doing so (exception being those who win the monthly MVPs)

          • +1

@nicholasv: A nice thank you message is great, but not really necessary. Just happy if someone else finds the post helpful. I mean, if you have some valid criticism about the item/post or whatever I can take it, as sometimes I'm a bit lazy and don't search everywhere or I don't know much about the product. I've just found the BigW ones the worst for complainers.

People of Ellenbrook, and Riverton in WA, today is your lucky day. BigW is clearing Allen's Dark Choc Raspberries 120g for 90c (RRP $4.50)

Seriously, I couldn't see any other stores with stock. Maybe someone else can find some?

  • +4

I added some random BigW clearance items to the drinks post here.

Lindt Nuxor Milk Ballotin Box 165g $3.30, was $16.50 Only seems to be at Cessnock and Wagga Wagga.
Nescafe Gold Original Coffee 400g $5.40 supposedly was $27 Mandura WA, Palmerston NT
Obap Roasted Seasoned Korean Seaweed 8 Pack $1.20 was $5.05 Townsville, Taree NSW
Yoosh Aloe Vera Drink 500mL $0.55 was $2.70 This one is at a few stores: Underwood, Morayfield, Mackay QLD, Kingsway, Livingston WA, Parabanks, Golden Grove SA, Tamworth.
Grain Waves Chips Caramelised Onion and Balsamic Share Pack 170g $0.95 was $4.80 Saw some in Cairns and Parkmore VIC
Nobby's Salted Peanuts 600g $1.70 was $8.50 Parkmore, Mildura VIC, Casuarina NT, Castletown, Bundaburg, Chermside QLD, Ballina, Newcastle West, Blacktown, Liverpool NSW
Nobby's Nuts Salted Cashews 150g $2, was $9.90 This one seems to be at more stores, but still limited. I'm going to leave it and go have a coffee. Are they really usually $9.90??

Edit: I found most of these last night and I haven't checked stock but I don't think much would have changed.

    • -1

for Perth, the Yoosh drinks are only at Livingston now. was contemplating a trip out to Kingsway for those.

      • +1

        Thanks for updating. : )

Edit: I'd buy before going out to C&C at any of these places just to be sure they actually have any. I don't know if I'd just trust their online stock levels.

        • good stuff with that drinks post…will be a nice addition to someone's snack stash

    • Is there a OnePass equivalent for BigW to get deals like these when they're available online but not anywhere near us?

      • I think delivery just isn't available at all for a lot of these sorts of products.

Edit: Hard to say, not enough stock of to really test. Maybe it depends on the weight and how far it would have to go.

        • Ah, ok; I've got others I want that are unavailable within 112km from me.

    • How are you finding these? Is there a stock checking website for Big W, like there are for Bunnings? Or are you building one? Wanna list it here?

      • +2

I just use their own search filters and made a couple of bookmarks. You can just say you want to look at all their Snack & Drinks that are on clearance. To find everything on their system I put include out of stock products. That way you can see what there is outside their set km radius. I'm not 100% sure if they keep it on the page but show OOS if there is 1 item somewhere in Australia and then remove it if there is 0. To me, it makes sense to do it this way, but I'm not sure what they've done.

If you only want to see what is "near" you can just say you want in stock only.

How about splitting this topic by state instead of by store?

    • +2

What if a product is available in two states but is only posted in the forum in OP's home state as that is all they checked? You could end up on missing out on potential deals

      • -1

If it's all that's been checked, it's all we know of. If a product is available in two states, it can be posted in each one's thread. Either way, it saves members the time and energy going through local deals not available to them.

        • +3

Either way, it saves members the time and energy going through local deals not available to them.

But adds to mods time searching where stock might be, when no one knows for sure

It's really not a big deal, not many posts get made in here on a weekly basis.

          • +2

@spackbace: Agree with spackbace. I certainly wouldn't be looking at every state trying to find the stock and doubt mods would want to either just to copy something across when this system works fine as is

            • @nicholasv: Maybe I'm missing something… Why would you be looking at every state trying to find the stock? Would you fly there where you found it to get it?

              • @wisdomtooth: Road trip silly. 🙃

              • +1

@wisdomtooth: Changing location on the website to different states and looking if there is stock. If we are going by your suggestion then i would have to look at each states availabilities and post in possibly 8 different forums, when we can keep as is and I just post in one

                • @nicholasv: 8 different *topics…

… but, nah, if it's available in most, if not all, states, its qty clearly isn't "insufficient."

How well does this keep time compared to the F-91W?

      • +3

f91w is a god tier watch, you can't compare a god to a mere mortal Seiko.

      • +2

Well, f91w is literally god tier so

    • I'd take any other colour in the range over the black. Lusted over the white for a long time but never got a chance to get it. I settled on the green but it doesn't do it for me.

      • I've got the green and ivory (gold hands) versions. I've always struggled with the ivory one but I put it on a mesh and don't mind it now (although it's far from my favourite watch).

If the black went sub $700 I'd be tempted.

This isn't a negative - the older model is basically a full chainsaw on a pole. You can easily cut down full trees with it, it's a great unit.
I wouldn't consider the oil-free version, because the worn out chains are going to cost you a lot more than the bar oil…

  • Merged from [WA] Optus X Pro 2 $29 @ Woolworths, Booragoon
    Go to Deal

Bought one in booragoon. I think there was a couple left.
Is locked to optus. Does anyone know how to unlock it for cheap?

    • -1

if it comes in an optus-branded box, it will locked to them. you might be able to unlock for free if you have an existing optus account. i got 3 optus-locked realme c21s unlocked for free last year

      • Ok great to know. I do have account with them. Do you need to give a reason?

        • -1

i wasn't even asked a reason. you could tell them you're going overseas.

i got it unlocked by chat.

      • I just had a look. The c21 looks more powerful than this and came with a months call credit. At $29 it was the phone bargain of the century.

        • -1

this one also comes with a $30 sim?

          • @tdw: Yes and NFC and 5000ah battery.
            Expandable memory.
            😃

        • +1

Hard to tell from the specs. The C21 has more RAM but ZTE or Optus don't disclose the processor. "The identity of the processor has been withheld to protect our profits."

            @Stingo:

"The identity of the processor has been withheld to protect our profits."

So you will have to call or visit the store.
For this reason, mods has moved my deal to insufficient quantity.
If someone sees it at another store - please TWAM. I believe there should be stock at other stores…

    • Just bear in mind that the Optus X (pronounced ecch) range is nobbled to remove bands the others use.

      • So are saying a Telstra Sim may not work?

      • Here's the link, which bands are missing?

        3G Band - 900/2100MHz
        4G Band - B1/B3/B7/B8/B28/B40

        • +2

          3G - 850Mhz (used by Telstra 3G)
          4G - B5 (850Mhz used by Vodafone 4G)

Telstra 3G is due to shutdown in June 2024 so that problem will go away. Otherwise it supports all the 4G frequencies Telstra are known to use which is more than the LTE only modules in Telstra "Smart Modems" (the previous Frontier Gateway had wider band support). So not a problem for Telstra usage at least once Telstra has added B28 or even B8 to all towers lacking them. B5 is Vodafone's historical low frequency. i.e. coverage band. They only acquired B28 via the TPG merger which would have somewhat better propagation being a lower frequency but I have no idea to what extent that supplements B5 at this point or their future plans.

Just for comparison sake the C21 that was mentioned earlier did support the frequencies and also included some additional band TDD bands we don't use here despite carrying the standard Optus disclaimer:

Handset has been modified to be optimised for the Optus network and performance on other networks is not guaranteed.

For overseas use you want a phone with even wider frequency support but this is less than common on low end phones.

    Merged from [QLD] Ryobi 18V ONE+ 2 x 4.0Ah 23L Fridge Freezer Kit $299.01 (Was $799) @ Bunnings, Southport
    Go to Deal

Just saw my local Bunnings is offering this kit at almost a third of the original price. Website shows $599 still so try your own luck in store. Some will price match and some won't so good luck.

Currently about 5 left at Southport in stock as of 2:30pm.

    • +1

seen this a few times on my bunnings adventures and thought to myself how overpriced it is at $799 $299 isnt bad at all though with the batterys

    • At $299, it's worth it just for the batteries. Here's the stock link. Heaps of stock around.

      And here's the perfect usage.

    • How long would this thing last as a fridge? With 2 full batteries?

      • It's on the main page
This Kit also includes 2 x 18V ONE+ 4.0Ah Batteries and an 18V 2A Charger. These Batteries can power tools across the RYOBI ONE+ DIY garden, craft, camping and cleaning ranges. These batteries can provide up to 12 hours of runtime (with a 0°C temperature setting and 20°C ambient temperature). Other current battery sizes (2.0Ah-9.0Ah) are also compatible with this model.*

18V 4.0Ah battery runtime can vary depending on the mode and temperature setting selected.

        • I find that a bit hard to believe…

          • @hippyhippy: The compressor is rated at 60W. If we assume a conservative 25% duty cycle (e.g. overnight), that should give 9.6 hours of runtime with 144Wh from the two batteries. Someone would have to wake up in the middle of the night to swap batteries though!

    • +4

Anyone can upload a price image or receipt?

    • +3

I don't see anywhere selling these for $299….$599 everywhere from what I can tell? Photo proof?

        • Ryobi Powered devices is never discounted on Powerpass, as they are not a trade product (like Ozito)

    Merged from G-Shock MTGB3000BD-1A $1199 Delivered @ Starbuy
    Go to Deal

Not the limited edition of MTG but everywhere else is selling a lot more than this. This is the cheapest B3000 (current model) of MTG at the moment that you can find in Australia. Not sure when the sales end so get it while you can.

Below are the information copy and paste from Starbuy website.

G-Shock Premium MTG-B Series Stainless Steel Mens Watch MTGB3000BD-1A. Discover innovative form of great structural beauty, an MT-G timepiece born of an entirely new design concept combining the resin used in the first G-SHOCK models with metal materials. Welcome to a whole new level of sophisticated structural design.

With its even more advanced Dual Core Guard structure, the MTG-B3000BD-1A protects the module in a carbon-reinforced resin case and encloses the exterior in metal components. Repeated pressing, cutting, and polishing builds the stainless steel case back upward into an intricate 3D form. The case back also serves as the lugs to secure the band and as the guards for crown and buttons, for a completely new structure. Using high-density mounting technology, G-Shock developed a new slimmer, multi-function module. All of these innovative designs and technologies created a much thinner watch, measuring just 12.1 mm from bezel to case back.

MT-G innovation extends even to the band. All-new one-touch exchange structure eliminates the need for special tools. Simply press buttons located on both sides of the lugs to quickly and easily swap out the band.

High-transparency sapphire crystal paired with the delicate molding and vapor deposition of Yamagata Casio’s nano-processing technology adds the final touch of sophistication and quality.

The MTG-B3000BD-1A features a layered composite band made of hollow stainless steel segments encasing fine resin parts for a lighter weight band. Ion-plated metal components bring a touch of fresh color to the overall chic black design.

This innovative, tough new style delivers full-on functionality, as well. Download the CASIO WATCHES app to pair with your smartphone via Bluetooth®. With Multi Band 6, Tough Solar charging system, and high-brightness LED light, this timepiece keeps you at peak performance, whatever your adventures may bring.

      • +2

For Euro watch snobs who look down on Japanese marques, maybe.

I would take a $1,500 dollar G-Shock over a $1,500 Tag Heuer or Breitling any day of the week.
Casio has been around since 1946, they're not amateurs and they release more new models in a few months than most Swiss brands do in a year. Not only that but their inventory has a far larger range of styles, form factors, internals and features. They've got all of the experience they need to compete with any of the entry-to-mid level offerings from any Swiss brand.

I have a model from the first generation of the MTG series, the MTG-B1000D-1A.

They're very well-built and the triple motor movement means the hands move quicker around the dial than any other quartz movement chronographs I've seen, it's quite impressive actually when you're using the stop watch/timer or cycling through the modes. The alignment of the hands with the indices is better than any of my Swiss automatics too (as is the accuracy but that's not surprising).

Photos don't do these watches justice, they look infinitely better in person. The MTG series are fully Japanese made as well.

I wouldn't say they're worth their RRP though, it's best to wait after it's been a few years into their production runs when they dip down to $1000-ish or lower. I got the the MTG-B1000D-1A for $945 when I bought it, which is about right for the features/build quality.

        • +1

the hands move quicker around the dial

At least you won't be late to appointments.

          • +1

@WatchNerd: Yeah to rephrase that, I meant when you're doing fast movement functions like cycling between world time zones, stop watch/timer, etc.

I haven't seen too many watches that can match that hand speed.

        • Each to their own. I personally have watches from all over the world and have never actually looked at their origin.

But I do admit that I appreciate my breitling more than my Seiko or citizen watch.

          • @xoom: I feel like it's a random number generator to give a "sense of urgency" to the potential buyer.. Maybe avoid this site if they use these practices 🤔

            • @imtheonewhoknocks: Would not surprise me. I mean apple use the same tactic. Make it look like something is running out quickly when in actual fact they have plenty of stock.

    • Don’t forget the $125 you need to add for the plan. Cheaper if you price beat at office works

Merged from [Switch] Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit $30 @ Target (Clearance / In-store only)
    Go to Deal

Just picked one up at Target Waurn Ponds. They had 1 more.

Website shows all stores as out of stock which happens when they have less than 3 left.

Best to call your local store to confirm if they have any. Likely not on display.

Absolute bargain for $30. Kids are having a blast chasing Mario around the living room.

    • None near Perth (didn't try calling)

      • +1

Website will show out of stock if <3 units on hand.

      • +1

Called 5 (WA metro) stores, no stock, 1 store mentioned they had an influx of calls for this item 😊

    • +1

i need a bigger HOME for this Circuit. good price

      Oos

Needs to be 10 or more in stock to be a deal?

      • +2

Impossible to know how many they have on hand without calling every store.

I found 2 in just on store. Likely there's 8 more units across their 100+ other locations.

    • +1

There's no stock of this anywhere, you stumbled on a unicorn.

FYI these sort of price drops are to stop people from returning the product without a receipt, and demanding RRP
