    Wallet just killed itself.

    • +2

i never had a wallet to start off with

      • +3

        Whats a wallet

        • +1

better start a forum post asking that

        • @tuzii: imma start a post when its ok to have a wallet financially. You know coz i run a tight ship.

        • A wallet is a vintage money storage device that people used to have in the olden days before OzBargain was invented.

        • @tuzii:

Or better still how often do you use it

  • Good thing I got paid late yesterday otherwise I would have bought stuff last night 😊

    • +46

Not if you spend from $100 to $149.

      • +16

A real ozbargainer would spend exactly $100. Not a dollar more or less to make the most of this deal.

        • +4

Damn I was $3.64 overbudget. All these diminishing returns! only 14.47% off

    • Not if you are buying something for $100…beaten

    • +7

No it's not, at least with a blanket statement like yours. Here's why:

If $x is your spend, then the 10% discount amount is $0.1x. In order for this to be better than the $15 off, you need to have 0.1x > 15 which solves to x > 150.

TA is correct, if your spend is under $150 (and more than $100), this deal is way better.

        • +4

It's called understanding the system and the facts. This way you can always maximise savings.

        • +2

@Clain: What can you maximize now when this code is the only option? The 10% sitewide code has already expired.

Also, the maximum savings with this $15 off and 10% sitewide code is $5 if anyone wants to know.

        • +1

          @Clain:

No no let’s not give false hope here.
          It’s basic math.

      • -1

I like the way TA did it in his head.
You know, did his head in.

        • wow, -3 votes and TA gets +20. Workplace bullying at its best!

        • +5

          @Homr:

          1. I was gently ribbing @MathNerd, who's my bro.

          2. This is not a workplace - at least i'm not being paid.

          3. Votes relate to the usefulness of the comment, not the person. Your comment is off-beam, TA is on high beam.

        • -1

@Homr: Welcome to OzBargain. Where popularity comes first before bargains.

        • @Orpheus: That's discrimination! Shouldn't happen in a place like this

        • +10

          @Orpheus:
But I thought you were popular, you seem to get a lot of votes ;)

        • +5

          @nocure: haha classic.

        • +3

          @AngryChicken: Upvoted by your Valentine.

  • Welp, time to spend even more money.

Damn, wanted to buy SCA giftcards, $200 worth for $170, and then use them on the 20% SCA storewide discount….

      • +1

Sorry, mate. Too easy loopholes are closed first. Think beyond…

  • -3

you are better off using the 5% code if you are spending >$300. Just sayin

    • +12

      Quick mafs

      • +3

        No ketchup just sauce

    • +11

      • +3

Dream higher bro, Aim for 50% off site wide!!!

        • +1

That'll be for the closing ceremony.

    • meh

  • Wow, wish I checked ozbargain before i just spent tree fiddy :(

    • The 5% code would have got you a better discount.

      • @mavis30551 probably didnt use either 5% off code or yesterdays 10% off sire wide.

  • +4

If only Scotty James got a gold instead of a bronze…
Still a good promo code for ~$100 purchases though.

  • Does this stack with the pick5?

  • +1

Great I may buy the Xiaomi MiBox 3 locally for $85, need to spend 5 more cents though.

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Xiaomi-MI-BOX-Android-6-0-Smart-…

    • +1

Not anymore, they’ve increased the price to $100 & they’re advertising the discount.

      • :/ suxz0r

  • +3

Awesome… just negotiated an offer for a camera flash for $102

  • This is good for where you've already used PICK5 on three purchases and it isn't available anymore (shows as 'redeemed'

Does it just require your whole basket to be > $100 or an individual item / store to be > $100 ?

    • Basket, it all needs to be in the same currency though.

  • @TA any idea what the diacount would be tomorrow ?

  • just bought something over $100 yesterday UGH

    • Me too. Could have saved an extra $5.

      • +1

was just thinking, maybe I should buy another to increase the average savings of both

        • good thinking :)

  • Ebay is stealing my money!!WELL ,just saying xD~

    • excludes officeworks ( more than likely )
    • When it's sitewide you can usually find better deals with other sellers.

    • SOB:

This seller is currently away, and isn't processing orders at this time. You can add this item to your watch list to purchase later.

      • -1

OW web admins must be chinese?

        • +1

Not away for Chinese New Year, they just decide not to partake in sitewide eBay sales:

Thank you for visiting the Officeworks eBay store.
Our products are temporarily unavailable while eBay has a site wide event.
Because Officeworks is determined to ensure that we offer our customers, like you, low prices every day no matter how and where you choose to shop with us, it is important that all of our customers are getting the same low price in our stores, on our website, with our app, or on our eBay store.
Thus our products will be available shortly after the site wide event has finished.

  • Will it work on the paypal-itunes gift cards?

    • +2

      No.

Purchases of items listed in the following categories are excluded from this offer: Coins (11116), Services (316), Cars, Bikes, Boats (9800), Tickets, Travel (11,730), Other Lots More Items (88433) and Gift Cards (172,009).

  • +1

Can we stack eBay gift cards with this code? Some OZbargainers may have eBay gift cards from Woolworth deal.

  • Shame that suitcases fall under Tickets, Travel.

  • +3

do you reckon our Olympic athletes realise there's a bunch people at home cheering for them so that they can get 10% coupons and $15 off $100 on ebay?

    • I was wondering why their was a huge upturn in support for the winter olympics…

  • How many times can you use the code?

  • First choice. Pick up. Bottle Hendricks and 1 litre of Canadian Club. Works out to be $99

  • Anyone found any amazon echo deal ?

  • Hmm, this Bosch 18v 4.0ah battery looks tempting but I already have one..

  • +2

Does anyone know why Officeworks closes during these sitewide events? I'm not talking the BS reason they provide. It is eBay who foots the bill after all.

    • Thats just it. No other reason other than straight up BS.

    • i was just about to post a similar query. there's a full on message stating that their products are temporarily unavailable while ebay has a site wide event. I didnt realise retailers were allowed to circumvent ebay promos like that. If it's ebay tho that foots the bill, wouldnt Officeworks just keep their product up? either way, disapointing. would be a good deal if everything was available.

      • The only possible reason I can come up with is that they probably don't want to have to price beat themselves in the bricks and mortar stores.

    • it was open yesterday

    • It's more profitable for OW to sell goods via their own platforms.

  • $15-30 saving. It's something, but it's not worthy of being a 4 hours only deal.

  • Gold = 15% ?

  • +1

    Thanks TA I spent $104..

  • Ta, TA.

  • Nice works now!

  • Thanks bought a set of HP ink, cheaper than the 10% off yesterday which I missed.

Hope they can split them into 2 invoices, 2 x inks each so that I can make 2 claims with HP XL ink cash back.

  • not cool, could have saved more today than with yesterday's deal.

  • 2 x code used for multiple items in the cart, 1 was for $100.04 total and the other was $100.41, and all stuff I needed!

  • +4

f*** ebay will you cut out these god dam short specials and give at least 12 hours some people actually work in the afternoon and dont spend all their time online.

  • Bit rough missing out after the paypal payment went through literally just after 10pm.

  • how do I get notifications of these sales before receiving the ozbargain email the following day after it's all over. Is there a way I can get emailed straight away when there's an ebay sale?

    Thanks,
    Pete

    • I'd join cash rewards. They often send out an email as soon as known. For this offer, it was in the email they sent me at 5:21pm same day
