Looks like a good deal for those looking for a modem router. Normal retail price at MSY is $249.
Please note that this is Import stock, possibly meant for the Chinese or American market as the plug type is different.

Would prefer to get the local stock Amplifi for @209 right?
These are the same model that sells for $79 US on amazon, reflashed with generic FW
NO DEAL
Please explain?
You might be referring to the router version? This is the DSL + router version so different.
Why bother when you can get it from MSY for $199?
This is the modem version.
FYI that's router only. Modem router goes for $229 or something. Having said that, I would still get it from MSY as it's local stock with local au plug.
Grey stock of a modem that in my experience is a bit ropey with FTTN - I wouldn't recommend it. I know a lot of them do work, but in my experience the failure rate on FTTN was excessive. Buy with caution.
You can get the Australian version for $191.20 from Futu with 20% off until 12/2

Whoops this is the AC version, not DSL. Never mind.
Avoid this seller at all costs. I purchased a router and it came with some modded Chinese firmware. When I challenged it the seller came back quite aggressive with all sorts of bizarre arguments about how s/he is entitled to mod it as much as they want and huge volumes of various other weirdness, insulting and outright trolling. I left negative feedback but they just came back laughing and gloating about how they got it removed (and it was removed, I never got contacted by ebay to know why) and I've seen other negative feedback like "second hand not new" etc get removed from their ebay store.
Avoid this seller.
Wow, that is bad.
Hi Mark, long time no see. When it comes to ruin my business, it appears you are really everywhere. I guess it's only fair that I tell my side of the story then. I will try to complie the correspondence between us as accurate as possible, or would you prefer that I upload everything you said to demonstrate your stupidity?
When you received your router TM-1900 on 1st Sep 2017, you claimed that "the router was not new" because it had a "modded Chinese firmware", Koolshare to be specific, instead of the T-MOBILE Firmware.
Well, first of all, I did mention that T-mobile firmware in the router was flashed into AC68u firmware already so as to unlock all features in my listing. Second, I also mentioned that the router MIGHT be flashed with third party firmware(merlin for example) for testing purposes in the warranty section. In addition, Koolshare is not a "modded Chinese firmware", it is one of the best Merlin based firmwares on the Internet, plus it contains EVERYTHING that official ac68u firmware has(its own features are all under "software center" section). And finally, I also mentioned that unlike Asus retail products, any change of the firmware on the routers from my store will not void the in-store warranty condition(I might have missed this part in the original listing at the time, or not the exact same words, but I definitely mentioned this to you via message after you questioned the router's warranty condition).
Since I have made everything clear already, let's focus on what you said afterwards:
(like I said, everything below is a direct or indirect quote from you, I can upload our full conversation if necessary to amuse every one on ozbargain.)
You then demanded a 50% refund for "receiving a second hand router".
(which was nearly $90 at the time. Ouch!)
You then claimed that I "dont have the right to upgrade the firmware because 'Third party firmware voids Asus manufacturer warranty.'"
(Wow, did I just mention that Im responsible for my own router's warranty in the listing? Even so, Mark believe that I "dont have the right to upgrade my own router's firmware" despite I mentioned the possibility in my listing) The fact is, given this is not a retail model, Im entitled to setup the terms and conditions by myself including the warranty condition(direct quote from EBAY). If you, Mark, have any doubt/concern/different opinion regarding my listing, that's totally fine. You are free to share your thoughts with me BEFORE placing the order. If you dont like the terms, such as you dont like receiving a router with a Merlin based firmware, you can skip my listing and move on. But once you confirm buying this router, it automatically means that you have agreed with my terms and condtions. You cant just agree my terms and condtions first and then delare "I dont have to agree the terms and conditons because they are wrong!…" This is like killing a man and then clare "calling murder a crime is wrong!" Yet, I believe what really happened was you just didnt read word in my discription. Otherwise you might actually have bought the router elsewhere. Apparently you were not the first one who uses "price+postage: lowest" filter and then click "buy it now" on the first search result as a pattern, especially when there were multiple selling record already. With the economy like this, you wont be the last one either.
This is one of the highlight of your arguments! When I told you that the koolshare firmware was a "Merlin" based firmware, you said and I quote "No it is not. It is using Vortex Koolshare. So I decided to look it up - Vortex firmware is for non-Asus hardware: http://xvtx.ru/xwrt/about.htm" and "Given Vortex firmware is for non-Asus hardware I'll guess it is a cheaper Linksys or Huawei board internally, boxed to look like an Asus."
(sorry I have to quote your own words in this case because I cant find a more brilliant way to let you embarrass yourself…and what made things more funnier was, considering you were just willing to keep the item with 50% refund in Phase 2. It seems that the "cheaper Linksys or Huawei board internally, boxed to look like an Asus" was still worth $90 to you…)
And lets skip the part that you also tried to prove that I "always sell 'second hand items' to other customers" by copying and pasting "item is not brand new" feedbacks from other customers you found on my feedback profile, despite all those feedbacks were for DIFFERENT items under DIFFERENT circumstances, which you are still doing now.
And yes, you feedback was removed after I contact ebay regarding the whole drama and my concern to your psyciatric level (once again, "cheaper Linksys or Huawei board internally, boxed to look like an Asus", cant stop laughing every time I read it…). I admit that my messages seem to be a combination of "weirdness, insulting and outright trolling" for sure. But does it EVER occur to you that maybe, just maybe, ebay removed your feedback because your accusations were "WRONG"?
Just note that Asus Australia doesn't provide warranty for this. It looks like a grey import.
