Two crappy companies - Telstra and Paypal… not really a deal when using these guys.
thats a bit harsh, though i do tend to agree, however, Telstra has the fastest connections and paypal albe it a bit dodge is easy to use.
At the rates Tel$tra have, with their charge for message bank retrieval and so on, the $50 recharge is only worth the $20 you'd end up paying.
Telstra are going through a major restructure and cleanup of their products, I hope you'll find that the rates are only getting better. Telstra want to keep more of their prepaid customers so people like you are who they want to please
The $30 cashback doesn't hurt in terms of value though!
i don't know about Telstra but Paypal is one of the best companies worldwide mate!

The credit is applied instantly (it registers your paypal to your phone account, so when you do recharge via #100# you then need to use the pincode set via this website to pay via paypal).

Hi, I was trying to do this yesterday but was having trouble working out what buttons to press on the iphone. I really didn't get past the first menu. So I ended up just buying a normal recharge.
Any more tips on how to recharge? Can it not be done online (instead of via the phone), that would be easier.

I have recharged $150 as of today (31/12/2010) through EZYRecharge using Paypal. When I log into Telstra's My Pre-Paid website it says the $150 will expire on 30/01/11 (in 30 days). I thought it is meant to last 365 days? There isn't any reference to the '10GB' either - only the regular Telstra recharge cap promotion data…
Shouldn't there be '10GB valid for 365 days' applied to my account as describe at http://www.facebook.com/EZYrecharge ?

We simply send the credits to Telstra who then apply it to your account as with any type of recharge.
Please check your account again on Monday or Tuesday, and call Telstra if it still does not look correct.

However, when I enter that address in Safari on the iPad, it redirects me to the usual Telstra "My Account" page (m.telstra.com/ipad/accountDetails.html). Clicking on the 'Recharge' link brings up only the 'Credit Card', 'Voucher' and 'Recharge History' links with no options for PayPal listed. Any other way to do this??
I have taken your query up with our Telstra broadband contact and he said it will work as long as you are registered to use PayPal.
To do that, enter the service number of the SIM card in your iPad (same format as a normal mobile phone number) here: www.ezyrecharge.com.au
Then go through the quick registration process and once successful, go to http://myprepaid.telstra.com/mbb

For those who have not recharged yet, there is still until the end of the year to recharge $50 or more and get $30 cashback!
I have just been informed by Telstra that they currently do not support recharge with PayPal for the iPad. They thought they did, but investigation has revealed that iPad is currently the only device where the PayPal menu item is missing from the recharge menu.
Workaround: put the SIM from your iPad into your iPhone and recharge as normal mobile phone (I.e. dial #10014#) by following the menus
There is still time today to take advantage of the $30 cashback, so register and recharge now!
Hi there, this is my first comment on ozbargain and i've just recharged for 150 using paypal which is supposed to last for a Year. I already had 43 dollars left on my account which expires 11/01/11.
After the 150 dollar recharge my balance now tells me i'm i've got a balance of 193 dollars which expires on the 11/01/11.
Now i know this is not correct and if anybody has any advice it would be very much appreciated. Know it's a bit late trying to stay positive and not angry yet. Happy New Year Everybody.
