Was at the Moore Park store (in the "Supa Centa") this evening.
They have no PS3s left (no surprises), but they DO have PS2s left if anyone wants to grab one for $50 from there.

Ring the store up, usually they are able to tell you over the phone, I did this once when trying to use DJ gift vouchers to buy a DVD boxset, let us know how you go and with which store. Cheers!

Got one for 239 at retravision. Big w must pricematch. It is their policy. But it has to be a hard copy cattledog. Not a screenprint. But 239 is better than 400

I just rang them. I asked if they'd price match. Couldn't do 199 but could do 239. I can't scan the receipt. This was retravision oconner in perth. Down side is I have no games. And I can't have it till Xmas. Santas orders!

PS3s sold out in Frankston, Chadstone, Doncaster and Highpoint. Couldn't get through to Knox and Northland stores but likely sold out too. Haven't contacted the Geelong store yet, but odds are slim. Managed to pick myself up the last PS2 for $50 at Highpoint yesterday though(=

i have a friend who works at a toys r us. He told me that most of the staff at toys r us bought one for themselves. The guy working in the game department bought 4 for himself :(

David Jones all sold out except for Doncaster who refuse to sell their demo model and won't price match anyway according to each store i've spoken to.

Thanks for that. I was contemplating driving 1hr to my nearest DJs in Robina, QLD. I think it depends on who you get. If you get someone who doesn't care or know what to do they might just go along with it. Once word gets around the other places probably tell people to stop matching.
Give them a call and hope you get someone that doesn't know anything about the deal. Spoke to one guy and he immediately said they won't match ToysRUs' deal before I even mentioned 120GB PS3; don't understand how one store can accept the deal and the others say no despite stock being sold out (at ToysRUs) just hours after going on sale on Wed.
Got the last and the only PS3 120G they had in store at David Jones in Wollongong for $199 via price matching :D … PS. I bought it today at around 10am.
I have contacted Big W blacktown, they have 120gb PS3's in stock but wont price match unless the product is advertised in a brochure etc.
I have also contacted david jones parramatta, and the lady just blatantly said no we don't have any without even checking.

Big W gateways had 4 out the back, but as i didnt have a hard copy of the catalgue they wouldnt do it. even after i whinged to the manager. shoulda told him id buy them all

Could you post a picture of your receipt as the Big W stores that I've been to require some "proof"(other than a screenshot of the Toys R us site at the time). Also, the fact that O'Conner is in Perth should make it easier to price match.

I picked one up for $199 today at David Jones in Bondi Junction.
The very friendly guy serving me had a good look around 'out the back', and found one for me. Not sure if they have anymore though.
I used the DJ's receipt from the Wollongong store (posted above, or somewhere on page 3 of these comments). I mentioned that Toys 'R' Us had them clearing out for $199 - he checked the TRU website but (of course) couldn't find anything. In the end he was happy enough with the DJ's Wollongong receipt, and didn't bother ringing TRU to double check.

I went to our local TRU store today just to see if they had any (they didnt) but saw their price sheet on the counter….
They had PSP Go marked down to $49.95, did anyone manage to get one of them? All sold out at the store I was at.
They also had Nintendo DS lite marked down to $49.95…I only saw these prices on their sale sheet, not physically :(

Good onya. The DJ sales person I dealt with said they do not price match with competitor that hasn't got stock. Yours obviously didn't check for stock :-).
Actually, the salesman tried to call toys r us to check the stocks, however, he couldn't get through the line seems like the hotline was down. Fianlly, his supervisor said it would be fine since i provided two receipts to them.
Tried Dick Smith on George St in Sydney and Big W in Burwood and Auburn, they are all out of stock :(
Dick Smith Windsor and Dubbo have one each.
I asked them whether they could get it delivered to a store close to mine and they wouldnt because its a discontinued item.
