WH-1000XM6 is coming, have sold my WH-1000XM5 last week for $350 via Ebay.
For those unaware, Sony Online offers price matching, and if you join their My Sony program you get a 10% discount on your first order, which would bring this down to $281.16 for the earbuds from this site. Not sure if they will price match with this retailer though.
They won't match this site because it's not an authorised reseller. But they will match Kogan, which is even cheaper.
Sony disable the discount code field when they price match.
Apologies, you're right about the online store disabling the voucher field on a price match sale.
However, I WAS able to get a price match on the earbuds at $319 and was then able to apply the 10% welcome voucher at the same time by CALLING Sony Online sales and processing the transaction entirely through them, bringing the cost down to $287.10. It was the operator that alerted me to the My Sony welcome voucher in the first place - I only called because I was having issues with the online sales portal. The whole process from calling to purchasing took 15 minutes. Would be happy to post the price match and invoice as proof though not sure how in this forum.
Additionally, I was then able to get $30 cash back via their Recycle and Receive trade-in program using an old pair on non-functioning earbuds, bringing the entire transaction down to $257.10.
I contacted Sony CS chat earlier, they refused to price match because it was not authorised store, giving me the link to the only ones they accept: https://www.sony.com.au/microsite/wheretobuy/
@Buy2Much: OK, I'm just telling you about my experience with phone sales. Maybe their price match policy has changed in the three months since I purchased.
@Buy2Much: Don't even need to. I tried CS chat and they'll price match Kogan which as I said is cheaper without a code
slightly cheaper on Kogan + Kogan is an autghorised reseller I believe (which Sony will price match)
