I reckon they would be too :/ … better to just use a pedestal fan if one only wants to spend this much… > no holes in your ceiling :)
I tend to agree. I think anything not hard wired inside would also look a bit silly. Whereas if it’s outside and the heat warps the blades, well you just replace the affected fan and away you go.
Hmm, interesting, I didn’t even know such a beastie existed. Thanks nocure! :) Might just have to pick a couple of these up for the pergola and the shed.
I have purchased HPM $69 instead of this nasty one. This fan took my long interest as the cord will make easier to change in the future. 30W motor is very weak, and better stay away from this cheap one…
can you mount this on wall instead ?
lol I doubt it … but I like the idea
Why not mount it on the floor instead? Blows the cool air upwards.
disclaimer: please don't do this.
can you buy 4 of these
a big battery and
make a drone for personal transportation ?require many eneloop
All OzB pooling together, we could power South Australia ala Tesla.
Victoria now
If there's a human on board, it's not a drone.
Maybe it could be a hoverboard that actually hovers!
So with no remote, and only a cord, I'm guessing it turns on and off via power point only and has one speed??
30w motor seems very weak - most pedestal fans are 40-50w…
Yea most ceiling fans are 50w-60w
These things are rubbish. I could cause more breeze by farting.
I took mine back as it was totally useless.I wish you'd take your farts back, too!
This is its normal price, it has always been this price since it was released over a year ago.
Having said that, I have a few of these, they work fine in a small workshop or single-car garage. The main observation with these is that they tend to look quite violent when starting up, from the initial torque through the mounting hook. Fine once they are up to speed.
These are really cheap and nasty but I guess ok for a garage. I certainly wouldn't install it in the house.
