nah but you have sharing
I don't like to share.
I think he is mentioning data
Its the other V phone company
kogan deal is still cheaper, same network
however, this one has the international thingo, if that's relevantI've found that it's totally irrelevant these days.
Having recently called friends in UK via phone / whatsapp / skype, the internet option was always better quality.Vodafone does have the international roaming option which is way better than anything else on the market.
For this price you could get international credit (Lebara anyone?) on the resellers. Also Vodafone's $5 roaming is majorly annoying if you only use it minimally.
I assumed the Lebara credit was only for making phone calls. Can you access data with it?
@dmac80: Don't know I'm not with Lebara, but worth a look up or try?
which is way better than anything else on the market.
SIP client is better.

Yep and that's the only reason I sign up before we go overseas each year and cancel when I return. Vodafone Australia is a joke.
Your right kogan much better same network no deal come back at $25 and we will talk
Why not pay an extra $24 / month with Optus and get yourself a free Galaxy S8 ?
http://www.optus.com.au/shop/mobile/phones/samsung/galaxy-s8…Because by paying that extra money you are actually purchasing the phone my friend
Indeed - but some might say $576 for an S8 is a deal in itself. Also my experience of the Vodafone network when I tried it early last year was not great.
Yes, they will never stop, no matter how many times you explain that your situation doesn't mean it's everyone's. Just because you had bad experience doesn't mean everyone will have. My experience was good on Telstra, Optus, Vodafone, Lebara, Vaya, Coles, Kogan…
Vodafone was bad before, but they have come a long way since then. If you are in the city, most of the time it will be fine regardless of the company you are with. Sometimes it won't, not because x company's network is bad, but congestion, buildings, old/bad mobile.
Recently took up a friends mobile and went on the net. Pages were loading very slow, yet on mine it was loading instantly. Same network, same company, different mobile.
Nowadays saying x network is bad has as much merit as saying go to Mars, there's water there, there's life man.
how did u get $576?
The extra $24 a month x 24 months = $576
Can you buy my S8
For what it's worth. I'm in West end Brisbane. Just ported from Telstra to Kogan(Voda). Getting great coverage and speeds here. Getting 3x the data for 1/3 the price. For my needs, it's a deal. Didn't port earlier as needed the coverage of telstra in Townsville.
Or if you are already a Vodafone customer and ask… you could do the same at Vodafone :)
Virgin has $32/m for 20GB + $200 INTL
Benefit of rollover, Optus network, gifting to any postpaid virgin mobile/mobile broadband, velocity points. They’re still not the cheapest, but if you’re going for a B+M telco, I can’t see why you’d choose this deal over Virgin’s.
Roaming.
Roaming. Virgins options are the worst of the big Telcos if you intend to use your phone overseas.
Oh damn! I just signed up to this plan yesterday :( Wish I had waited for a day.
Wonder if I call vodafone now will they give me this offer and reduce it from 40$ to 35$ for me. Any one has similar experience before? You've got 30 days to cancel the contract and port out.
I mean they would be silly not to.I'm in the same boat as you. I think I signed up one day earlier though. I called them today and the customer service rep was unhelpful. Let me know if you have any luck/name of any customer service rep that helps you.
Don't touch Vodafone, after the data card screw up in December where they sent out faulty activation codes which they won't fix I've had to resort to a chargeback with my credit card company. Their staff refused to help and even hung up on me on the phone after telling me it was easier to go to a retail store then it was for them to post out new packs.
The service of Vodafone has reached rock bottom, go anywhere else and let Vodafone die off if they're going to keep acting in this manner.
Getting in contacy with them is difficult and a 24 hour wait to speak to a supervision is the norm!
My contract ended with Voda the other day and I'd never enter another one with them. My 2 years loyalty was rewarded with a $5 per month increase in fees and 500MB less data. I am normally around wifi so I only need a 1 GB plan or thereabouts. They slashed my data, increased my cost and their reception is still sub-par.
Isn't that the norm for Telcos?
I signed up to this plan 3 weeks ago, at that time they had a discount of $5 per month bringing the monthly cost down to $35 per month for 20GB data, not sure how this is new.
The deal you signed up to ended on the 12th, also had a $4 per month bonus if you signed up another line which this doesn't. So technically a "new" deal.
ah cool
I've been using Vodafone for last 6 years and have never had any performance or coverage issues. I have an Optus phone as a secondary since last year and can confirm that Vodafone network outperforms Optus network by significant amount in and around Brisbane.
has anyone else who has taken up this specific offer found a degradation in download rate? or whether vodafone performance in general has degraded because of more people using the bandwidth?
Just did a speed test and showing 147/38.. No complaintsq here.
cool thanks, i should look into doing a speed test. which app do you recommend?
speedtest app or just direct your browser to fast.com
Does the data roll over like with Virgin mobile?
