Hmmm. I bought a C4710IP over 2 years ago from JB hifi after reading threads on whirlpool.net.
ended up paying only $129 then. (JB RRP was about $190 or so)

I just mentioned the price from whirlpool to the sales guy at the time and got the discount
I then bought some DSE DECT cordless phones (just as extra phones) at $12 each from DSE, again from info off whirlpool.

Great VOIP phone, just not so sure this price is such a bargain after so long on the market

Just thinking its worth a shot at JB getting it cheaper first if you are after one or checking whirlpool for current street pricing

  I don't think JB have them anymore - they had a limited run from Freshtel. Over the last two years the price of the C470IP has jumped up and down with different distributors obtaining stock from Siemens.
  
  Presently it appears only one disty is importing them - and they aren't the cheapest they've been. Our current $139.95 is a genuine bargain - it is below our cost price!
