Torque Control Spanner Set with six Interchangeable Heads - $91.75 Shipped (eBay UK)

PICK5

Was browsing around for a cheapie set of Torque Control Spanners (not a Torque Wrench!) and was amazed at how expensive they were… even from Oz eBay sellers! The cheapest cheapies I could find with the head sizes required was $155 but most were around the $200 mark and some even more but I then did a Worldwide search and discovered the identical cheapie kit from a UK eBay seller for a measly $95 inc. Shipping which then came down to an even cooler $91.75 after using the PICK5 code.

Sure, this seems to be this sellers regular price however it's a heck of a lot less than anywhere else so I thought it might be handy for others who are in the market for the same specific tools. Enjoy!

  • Whats the bargain.. Seems like a big price to pay for some spanners..

    • Torque Control Spanners are specialised and therefore expensive, even the cheap ones such as these. Please read the details in the description….

Yeah just use vice-grips and a (sledge)hammer. If you shear the bolt heads off it just means you don't have to worry about tightening them in future.

  • Cheaper here:

Got mine for under $50 a few years ago. if you want them for fridgy work then don't bother

    • Yeah nice! The description does say "This listing is currently undergoing maintenance, we apologise for any inconvenience caused." so I'm not sure what that means, hmmm. Might be worth a shot?!

  • set of Torque Control Spanners (not a Torque Wrench!)

    To-may-to to-mah-to.

    • Ha, yes. Was difficult to figure out how to differentiate between the usual 'Torque Wrench' we all know and what I was really after but using the term 'Spanner' seemed to give the required result.

so i presume the differentiator is open end spammer vs using a socket …. so for a space where socket doesn’t fit ?

        • +1

Yes. Pipe/Hose join fittings on soft, non-ferrous metals for instance where overtightening could result in a leak of a liquid or gas.

Happy with Aldi $30 torque socket set. Bought it on special.
