Received an email after porting to Optus encouraging me to download the app to manage account. email does not appear targeted and advises:
SMS "APP" to 111 by 13/01/18 for 100 MB topup.
Suspect this will work for anyone on Optus. It's not much, but this is Ozbargin - how long will it last if we all hit it..?
This offer is for selected Optus prepaid Mobile customers who received a promotional message from us. To get the bonus data, you need to SMS 'APP' to 111 by 13/01/18. It may take up to 24 hours for the bonus data to be added to your account. This offer is only available once during the promotional period. Bonus data expires in 7 days and is for use within Australia. If you change your rate plan during the offer period to an ineligible prepaid plan, you won't be eligible for the offer. Some functions in the app might use a small amount of data. Download and use of the app requires a compatible device.
