So I managed to book for the 7pm session - However it's telling me "Tickets Reserved: 1"

There was no option that I could see to add more tickets - is what I've purchased the double-pass?

    • +2

Mine too. dont know if its double-pass or not. :(

    • On the first screen, it defaults to (1) ticket, but you can select the (2) option.
      The email I got says:
"You have received 2 ticket(s) to The Unbelievables" … not sure if your email says 1 or 2 (after payment).

    • Same… my email says 'You have received 1 ticket(s) to The Unbelievables'
Wonder if I can cancel and get my money refunded?

      • you cannot get refunded. I did the same thing, ordered wrongly and cancelled it. Made another order for 2 tickets and got charged another $10. Emailed them and was told the $10 fee was an admin fee for Bronze memberships and is non refundable even if you cancel the tickets.

        • Yeah, I did the same thing… oh well, 2 tickets for $20 is still worth it. The show was pretty good!

    • Yeah I got the same thing too, just says Tickets Reserved: 1. Didn't have an option to change quantity.

      • You will be fined $10 for no show, if you fail to cancelled your ticket

  • +1

This offer is pretty amazing, just to confirm, are there any other costs on ticket pickup or is the amount paid all that is needed?

Also, any chance the reserved tickets will be given to someone else on the night or just arrive 30mins before and these are locked in?

    • +2

      No other payment needed

It s reserves for you on ur name
So just show id and collect

      • Excellent, love your work.
        Cheers

  • Booked 4 tickets for 7pm session 11/2. Its says 4 tickets reserved but what happens after that. Do I get an e ticket and seating?
(Just checked the FAQ) Yuu have to rock up to the Box Office before the show to get your tickets. I guess seating is probably a lucky draw.)

    • Check your spam folder for confirmation… I use gmail and found the onthehouse emails in spam.

I also was able to get 4 tickets for the 7pm session tonight for $10.

      • Do you increase quantity to 4 ? how many tiket you reserve? I didn't and it show 1 not sure it's double pass or 1 ticket?

    • How did you order 4 tickets for $10? When you click on it, the most tickets you can choose is only 2.

  • Great deal but no ticket?

  • Booked 2 tickets for 2 people for Thursday night. Thanks OP!

    • +3

can't see where to book. have signed up as bronze.

      • Same, do not have a "Book Tickets" button for any of the showings

        • +1

I refreshed a couple times, waited, then it appeared.

  • +3

Me too…i have bronze but no option to buy now.

  • Friday night 7pm all gone

  • Title should say, "Hamer Hall".

    • +1

      Nailed it

  • is this a double pass?

Do i need to increase qty to 2?

I clicked 11 Jan 7pm and there is no option to choose. It took me straight to paypal.

    Is this right?

    • You set the qty to 2 before you click the PayPal thing.
At least that's what I did … the website/booking functions are … primitive.

      • Thanks…

      • I've looked at this site before and was iffy because of the design too.

This show could have been ‘Unbelievable’ but it isn’t. When we saw it in Sydney, about a third of the audience didn’t bother returning after intermission. Half of the performers are enjoyable and two or three have the wow factor but others are dull and boring especially the ventriloquist. Admittedly we saw the first show of the season and they may have stepped it up a bit but all in all it’s not a quality production. They seem to be discounting or giving away tickets to this show left, right and centre maybe that’s the only way to get people through the doors.

    • +2

I went yesterday, the show was actually pretty good. Much better than what I expected.

      • It had the potential to be great. I’m glad you enjoyed it.

    • +1

I'm glad I read your comment before going. It set the bar low, but in the end the Melbourne show was fantastic overall. The great thing about a variety show is that if you dont enjoy an act, it'll be over within a few minutes!.

They probably have polished up their acts since opening in Australia. The ventriloquist was certainly past his prime.

  • Are the tickets double passes
…so if i buy two is that 4 ppl entry

  • booked and paid through paypal, still haven't got an email after 20 minutes. Onthehouse account says I have no reservations :\

    • email:

      "Dear ########,

Your reservation to The Unbelievables on 11/01/2018 7.00pm at Arts Centre | Hamer Hall has failed because you exceeded the 15 mintute time limit to make the payment.
Please contact us for a refund."

      not sure what happened.

"mintute" did someone say primitive or what :|

  • +5

I would go to this purely for Shin Lim. His magic is godlike :D

    • oh i saw him on youtube before. his on this? thats awesome

      • Yes he is in Australia and will be in the show!! He will be performing the 52 shades of red.

  • Are the tickets allocated seats? The people im booking it for a pensioners who may need wheelchair access?

    • +1

You won't see any seat allocation upon booking but perhaps you can call the venue later and confirm. I'm also guessing anyone who needs wheelchair access would be catered for regardless.

  • +1

I managed to book the Friday show at 3pm but realised that the parking would be more costly than the tickets!

    • +1

parking at boathouse drive is free after 3pm. hourly rates before that is… cant remember, around $2.4/hr :)

      • Thank you! Will check it out.

  • Just collected my tickets from the box office, about to see today's 3pm show.
    Thanks for the post!

    • Did you get good seats?

      • Yes!
Stalls row L seats 37 and 38, i.e. level closest to the stage, centre section, right in the middle. I was really surprised how good the promo seats were. I guess that might be because it's a weekday afternoon?

  • Amazing deal! I paid $30 to see it last night.

    • The write ups in the paper seem to reflect a good show. A previous post thought otherwise. What did you think of it and how were the seats?

      • +2

We got G seats, stalls so A-res I'd say. Other than the giraffe in front of us it was great.
        Here's a picture/view from where we sat https://www.instagram.com/p/Bducdddl9t9/

        • Great seats, what's the show like?

        • +1

@TravHall: The dummy guy was dull, but other than that all good. So sparkly! I'm seeing it again, and would say I have high standards as we see many many shows a year. Pretty good for a family show. - I'm going again with grandpa, and nothing impresses him these days.

        • Are the tickets double passes?

  • bought 2 double pass for tomorrow 3pm

  • Can we bring food and drink inside?

    • Plastic cups only, and food like candy then yes. No hot food.
Yes to photos, but no flash also. ;)

  • 3pm Tomorrow - 1 ticket left.

  • I have 2 tix for tonight if anyone wants…i cannot make it…no charge of course

    • yes i need it, coz i initially made booking for me and mum tonight but fail to increase quantity. Could you please cancel your tickets so the admin website will allocate me 1 more ticket. Also if you do so you won't get fined for no show.

      • Done….tickets have been cancelled

        • +1

          thank you

    • I'm still hoping to get the $50 lottery Aladdin tix, good to hear though :)

  • Unfortunately it is sold out, i wanted 4, My kids would have loved it.
    Hopefully they release some more.

*I've just rechecked the site and now see that they've changed it to Gold membership…
Sorry you missed out. But perhaps keep checking and they may change it back to being available to bronze members if they don't get the numbers.

        • Got some, finally!

  • Be careful when you are ordering the tickets and make sure you are selecting the right number of tickets. Even if you cancel you tickets, and re order you will be charged twice. Or even if you decide not to come and cancel your tickets, the $10 will not be refunded. that is their non refundable admin fee for being a bronze member

  • The entire show was great, start to finish.
My family and I loved it and the price was crazy for the value.

  • +1

More shows added for tomorrow 3 pm and 7 pm

    Enjoy :)

  • the show was fantastic!!!!!!

  • My son and I really enjoyed the show, thanks OP!

  • +2

Quite a good show. Certainly worth the $5. Shin Lim is a freak. Just when I was thinking if I was sitting in the OZB section, true to form the person in front of me pulls out his phone and gets on Ozbargain. Hard core ozb'ers wouldn't want to miss out on anything even in the middle of a show.

    • That's exactly what I'd call a professional. I do that too, I'll be in the middle of smashing out a PDE, but have to make frequent interruptions to jump on top OzBargain.
      OzBargain is life.
