Honest question, what does one do with these?

…and is it any good or just tip filler?

Best use is during presentations. You can quickly highlight key items projected on the screen or wall from a distance with the red laser rather than the mouse pointer. The white LED is handy for waking up sleeping attendees 🙂.

    • Look for scorpions in my backyard

    • pick up nerdy chicks if you can find any left

  • got one

  • Got one for the red laser pointer although I think there are doubts over their legality. Thanks OP.

    Registration seems to be broken?

Won't accept login details (yes, I've triple checked).

    Anyone else having issues?

    • Try desktop website.

  • You'll need to have a lawful excuse to carry this around.. At least in NSW

I will get bankrupt by these often $0.XX spending :(

Think we need a separate website, Ozshit.com

While these might be 'bargains' to some, all they really are are cheap crap.

Honestly a waste of already bad services like AusPost.

Fortunately for Australia Post the marginal cost of delivering an additional crap like this is next to nothing. It's all machine sorted and is just gonna be dropped off in your letterbox with your letters.

So far deliveries from Zapals have not all been arriving, maybe 50%, and CS is non existent. That's my experience.

    • Just give it a little more time, maybe another 5 - 10 weeks.

    • +1

hmmm.. bought about 10 times from them and never missed a delivery once.

    • Nothing I have ordered from them has arrived in less than 30 days.

    • The Guy Fawkes mask I ordered came finally after ages. Reasonable quality for price.

These should be under 1 milliwatt and therefore legal (but don't take it to the pub). Laser laws summarised here: http://www.ozlasers.com/australian-laser-laws.
But maybe wait 1-2 years for delivery @ $AUD 0.40 (paypal rip-off conversion rate) haha.

  • Dang, thought it'd be powered by AAA or AA

    • +1

Same. You can try putting in a request for a refund on their website.

Thanks chheepwun, pity there is no "cancel order" option. Still, not exactly a wallet crusher, just don't want to add to the rubbish pile.

  • you can see the guys thumb in the picture. unless you think that asians have giant hands how would you think an AA or AAA battery would fit in this ?
