Although this isn't the cheapest price it has been (Harvey Norman had a coupon code around Bathurst time that brought the price down to around $1650 and there have been deals on US Amazon bringing it close to $1500au), this is local stock and comes with a Microsoft standardised mixed reality headset which sell on their own for $799.
Steam VR support is on its way for it - although it doesn't do tracking as well as the Occulus Rift or the Vive but it is a lot less bulky with higher res screens.
The laptop itself reviews pretty well except for some reports of the screen being fairly dim but after having viewed it in person I didn't find a problem with it.
I also couldn't find any local store stock but my order went through online, just fine and they have taken my money so they better not back out! I will update when they get back to me with the specific model of the headset, but my guess is it would be the Acer one here: https://www.harveynorman.com.au/acer-windows-mixed-reality-h… After verification my guess was correct.

just as a heads up, if your looking at selling the mixed reality headset to recoup some cost, they look like they are only fetching $250 on ebay at the moment. Still a good deal regardless
