    Great deal and customer service!

  • How much are the bags??

    • +5
      • Thank you, I will edit this into OP.

        • +2

Great deal Rep! Is there any deal for washing machine?

        • How often do the bags need to be cleaned??

        • +2

          @Garfield3553:
How long is a piece of string? Depends on the use.. picking up large objects would mean regular replacement… normal household dust & fluff 6 months or more maybe?

      • wiht these sort of clearance vacuum cleaners though do the bags disappear from sale after a few months or a year and your left with no bags to buy for your model??? or is that not an issue with models 5-10 years down the track??

        • -1

My experience with bagged vacuum cleaners is unless you can buy generic bags as soon as the model is discontinued the bags slowly stop selling and your in trouble. Though my parents vac from Godfreys still sell bags 10 years on, but that’s coz the Wertheim brand is a Godfrey exclusive brand that they support and Godfrey always sells it.

So my tip if u buy this is buy a large supply of bags :)

        • +5

The bags for this vac are the same as they have been for all Bosch vacs for the past 10 years. They literally have one type of bag you are unlikely to have issues

Regardless of this fact godfreys sells generic bags for all vacuums even ones that don’t exist anymore so you will never encounter issues getting bags.

        • +1

@cloudy: I have no trouble getting bag for my discontinued Miele, new models still use the same bag.

        • +2

          @jimbobaus:

That is why I said, “unless you can buy generic bags”. Some vacs do sell vacuums which bags are also discontinued when the vac stops selling. I’m just pointing out the real possibility.

I am no expert on Bosch BGL3PWERAU model. If you are, great, plz listen to your advice and disregard mine.

about 3fitty, actually $19 for 4 at HN

    • $19 for 4 bags at Harvey Normal.

      Edit….ahhh…waaaay too slow

The Bosch BGL3PWERAU ProPower Vacuum Cleaner(appliancesonline.com.au) is a compact barrel vacuum that was made in Germany.

Ahh… where is it made now? ;)

    • +3

You can't make the one that is already made?

    • +1

First pic in the listing says "MADE IN GERMANY"

Thanks again Appliances Online - u guys rock :)

  • Solid deal. Thanks op

Nice deal and we are actually in market for a new vac.

I love that the transaction on my credit card came
    Up As : WINNING $70

    • +1

That is funny, but probably more due to the fact that Appliances Online is part of Winning Appliances.

      • +5

Yeah I know but I found it quite appropriate.

  • +5

Nice deal but cant stand having to buy dust bags to replace all the time

    • +4

You can get multiple uses out of each bag. I just pull the crap out of the hole while holding over the bin. It can be quite compressed and take about 5 minutes but worth the effort.

      • +3

Hope you wear a dust mask..

    • Yeah, gotta be reusable bags.

  • Thank you. Bought one.

  • is the brush detachable?

  • +3

Anydeal for the microwave guys? Mine just blew up today. Need new one soon.

    • +2

I second this. I have a 13+ yo Sharp microwave that's still working, but loud as hell, and seems about to kick the bucket. Any AO rep online, please give us a microwave deal as well. Thanks in advance.

      • +1

Thanks AussieDaddy, hope to hear back from the store rep.

      • +1

Maybe Trent can post a deal for you someday :D

        • +1

          Haha! Good one. :)

      • +1

I third this. Mine died last week.

    • +1 this, my current microwave is trash and I've been meaning to replace it for a long time now.

    • +1 our microwave is on the way out

    • +3

They have a lot of microwaves on sale, both on their website and their eBay store, so I've just bought an already discounted Panasonic inverter microwave WITH a 10% discount voucher (PUNCH, which is active now) from their eBay store. So try that, and you better be quick as eBay might end that 10% discount sale anytime.

  • Size of bag?

  • does it have a blower? need to pump up pool and toys

  • Bargain! Thank you !

  • It uses bags? No thanks

    • +11

I prefer bag over bagless, I find bagless vacuum cleaner losses cleaning power faster than a bagged version once the filter in the bagless version is clogged up. I have not tried high end bagless cleaner (e.g. Dyson) though.

      • +3

        Agreed.
I won’t be buying bagkess again. They become useless very quickly for the prices you pay. Dyson is no exception.

    • +2

Bagless is filthy and disgusting. You can't beat the hygienic bag method. Bagged vacuum cleaners also have the best suction power.

    • +1

Had several bagless of varying price ranges and since buying a Miele several years ago would not go back.
Bagged are far better… just get more life from the bag by picking up the larger items yourself.

Worth reading the following opinion: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/5173924/redir

The poster mentions that his model is the one in this post.

    • +1

For $200 I wouldn't buy it either. For $70 on the other hand, I should've bought 2 (one for car duties).

    • Also from reading the comments the negative review was of a different older model which this one replaced and the reviews of this updated version are mostly positive.

      • I believe you are mistaken, the OP is for a better model but the comment post I linked to is for this one. This is the worse model (the free'e)

        • The older free’e

  • thanks

  • Great deal, thanks.

  • Amazing value, thank you rep.

  • Thanks got one.

  • +1

Thanks got one along with 3 ser of bags for total of $89, worth every penny.

    • how could you get the vacuum ($70) + 3 sets of the bags (3 x $13 currently) for $89? Am i missing something?

      • I think you can buy the bags cheaper from Harvey Norman.
Edit: I may be wrong. $13 at their website seems cheaper now.

        • the bags are for 'all bosch' though? Would there not be a specific one for this model? or is this $13 one works fully with the vacuum, no issues? Just would've thought there'd be a specific one rather than an one size fits all bag for all bosch models?

i googled bags for this model and struggled to find any google links tbh selling bags for it. my worry is once this sells out will there still be bags to buy in 5 years?

        • @SaberX:

          Dust bag replacement: BBZ41FGALL

        • @truth000:

thanks. yeah $19-25 most places. probably grab 3. 12 bags, will that last awhile? we've always thrown out once full but some users here are saying to empty and reuse them? Is that ok? or a bad idea in terms of dust particles and reusing? not sure if we're the only household that grew up throwing out the bags after one use?

        • @SaberX: I'm not sure about that. I would try and see if I could reuse it. Won't buy 12 at once though.

      • I had $20 voucher from appliance online sent to my email. I could not stack that voucher with ozbargain code, so I purchased vacuum and bags separately. Its free shipping site wide no minimum spend. So $70+39-20= $89

        • ohhh really. so i might as well buy one and buy more later?

do you have any more spare $20 vouchers or is there a generic code?? otherwise should i buy the vacuum cleaner as is it one of those things where you buy one and they send you a voucher?

        • @SaberX: they seem to do that. Last time I got vacuum cleaner and got this code. Wasn’t gonna use but here came the deal

        • @eastwood27:

maybe i'll hold up buying 3 sets… i'll buy 1 and then buy another 2 if i get a voucher after buying this one haha.

maybe you have to spend a minimum though to get it.

        • @eastwood27:

weird. you said it's free shipping site wide…

i tried but i get "1. delivery is not available in your area"

          what the?!

EDIT: Managed to process the order.

Do note that the estimated dispatch date is 18 January 2018…. might want to add that for prospective buyers. It seems it can take up to 16 days to delivery so i would assume feb delivery? abit worried now if it takes that long as it gets closer to my holidays….

Do note the product description says it's in stock:

"This product is currently in stock and will take 5 - 10 days to arrive (up to 15 days if you’re in Western Australia)."

Not sure why the dispatch date is 18th Jan.. even with the public holidays coming back in the first week of Jan, seems an awful long time to dispatch a vacuum cleaner if it's aus based?

        • @SaberX:

Estimated dispatch date: 4 January, 2018

        • @truth000:
my appliances online email came with 18 january 2018 dispatch date.

Did you buy the vacuum bags? Wondering if having one bag included increased the dispatch date.. either that or they have a crap load of vacuums ordered since you placed your order (how long ago did you buy it?) that i'm 14 days later than you…

        • @SaberX: No bags. Email received 56 mins ago. I live in Adelaide.

        • @truth000:

WA based.. but this is dispatch date not the delivery date… so it should be irrelevant location.

Must be the darn bags. Shoulda ordered seperate lol. Normally with some e-tailers they send out those parts available first than holding up the whole order though…

        • @SaberX: The dispatch date may be the same as the delivery date in their system as they often deliver fridges and washing machines sort of stuff.

        • @SaberX: I mean possibly they don't send it as a parcel, instead they transport a whole lot of stuff to Perth and dispatch locally.

        • @truth000:

Possibly. But unfortunately either way dispatch dates 18 jan so it will def be end of jan before i can give it a whirl. That's if it arrives before my holidays haha. post holidays ill be surgery and doubt ill be vacuuming for months …so looks like i may try this out next xmas at this rate lol

  • Thanks. I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to living out of the home. Is 2200 W a decent strength vacuum cleaner??

I mean i've been borrowing the parents to date and wasn't sure if 4 dust bags for $13 are decent??

Do you need a filter change everytime - and if you dont use a dust bag are there models that can just empty out dust without a dust bag??

I used the parents one to suck up dust from my sanding of my walls pre-painting, i assume this sort of vacuum cleaner would be fine with fine dust particles also too?

Also - would love a fridge too for our new house hint hint nudge nudge OP :)

    • I am also looking for a fridge. Did you find any deals?

      • Not yet. Am abit disappointed atm. All the french or side by aide doors are just too big. I only designed a 1920-1930 mm width recess and standard 600 mm depth. Heights fine at 1860.

But most fridges these days are 1910 width and depth is 800-900 so we'd have to have it sticking out a good foot which the mrs doesnt want. Looks like well be stuck with an old school top bottom. Really disappointed as i built this house brand new but didnt take into account a fridge recess for the modern home. Doh

    • 2200w is usually fine but then again there is more to it that just w.
$13/4 is ok but depends on what you are doing… with normal everyday fluff and dust could get 6/12mths out of a bag. Just pickup large items.
Filter.. not necessary… depends on what you are using it for. Miele bags come with filters.
For house renos… get a cheap workshop vac or a cheapie from a garage sale.

    • +1

Definitely get a wet/dry vac for the Renovation. Household vacs aren't built for that sort of dust and could die if used for Renos. I went through two household vacs before I realised this on my recent renos…

      • odd.. i've been using my parents vac - nifilsk, for this purpose, and the bag got dusty but it hasn't died… given i did half a house im wondering if i just continue, since if it hasn't died yet…..

not sure what you mean by wet/dry vac though? Is there a cheap/budget vac out there that one can recommend?

  • +2

Great. Between you and the boxlots deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/351703I I now have f*%k all money for these holidays… and it's only 3hrs into boxing day sales, thanks. Looks like my holiday consists of watching the boxing day test in front of the box.
Its a bloody good bargain though!

Edit:i just re read my post and there's a whole lota box going on. Must have box on my mind… box, box, box…

  • Any deal on bagless vacuum OP?

  • Bought 1 thanks op but realised should have added 1 pack of $13 bags but forgot. My delivery is tomorrow, maybe because did not add bags will they remove the old vacuum I tick remove old unit.
I don't like bagless I don't want to see the dirty stuff through the see thru thingo of the bagless machines.

    • See-through-ness is handy though if you suck up a coin or a child’s insert-random-small-toy-here and need to retrieve it.

      • Not when you sucked insects like spider and cockroaches yucks

  • good deal but prefer bagless ones, lower maintenance, the cost of bags will add up over the years.

    • +1

Hold your breath, and shake out into a mostly-closed rubbish bag - works for me. We've found the ones with bags seem to perform better. I just bought this exactly deal - thanks OP! - to replace my parents clapped-out bagless version.

      • Doing this you won't have the same performance, vacuum bags breath, and dust and other particles block the holes and eventually you lose suction and the motor has to work harder until one day you might burn it out. See above comments about using these for a reno, it can be quite easy to kill a vacuum this way, YMMV

  • How does it compare with Dyson handstick series (V6 etc) in terms of performance?

    • I would like to know too

  • Don’t forget the Cash Rewards 🤪

I bought a TV from you guys in November. It was showing as being in stock, i received notification that it had been shipped (with tracking number), I confirmed the delivery day with your chat support to arrange the day off work.

Two days before the scheduled delivery date, you sent me an email saying the TV wasn’t even in stock. I called up to clarify this, as it was a bit confusing. It took me three phone calls (including not getting a call back when Inwas told I would) to finally confirm that the TV was not in stock, and it was never sent, and you guys didn’t know when you would be getting more stock in.

Even if these guys say they have these in stock, send a shipping notification, confirm delivery date, don’t get your hope up until it’s actually on your door step.

  • Great deal. I have Bosch's bagless one BGS4220AU but am looking for replacing it as it triggers the sensor control light every now and then. We liked it very much though.
    1) Are there any deals on bagless models? Like this one or any other bagless model
    2) Interestingly, BGS5140AU model looks higher version but consumes less power. which one of these 2 have better suction power?
    3) For the BGL3PWERAU, how frequently (on an average) does one need to change bag if you use it once a week? With $13 for 4 bags, running cost may not be cheap if they are just 1 time use.

  • The Product review says it's a mixed bag. Is it good enough for hard-floor?

  • Can existing Bosch vacuum hose, wands and heads fit this model?

  • Thanks for this. Great deal. Grabed the unit and two lots of bags for under a hundgie

  • Thanks, bought one to replace an old no brand from GodFreys

  • Can't buy replacement bags, I keep getting an "Invalid Coupon" message when clicking PayPal link. I'm not using a coupon.

    It went through now.

  • Hi rep, I would like to buy one and take it overseas. How much does the package weigh?

  • Is this model good for carpet?Hair, asthma kids and allergies?

  • If my Miele I found at the bins wasn't working I would get this. Nice price.
