Is this one of those services you pay for and they still show you heaps of ads?

Well, you can't say you weren't warned.
The first two words in this post are "Ad packs" !!!

    • Lots of ads between shows but mostly* not during shows.

      • Apparently some channels have them but not the ones I watch.

Do yourself a favour and use this to watch Westworld.

    Mind-boggling levels of good.

    • Agreed!

Real bargain is that their Pop Pack, worth$15, includes most channels that normal Foxtel only includes on three separate packs (Entertainment, Drama and Entertainment Plus combined, around $45 total)

The only pack worth to watch is the Sport channel watching live sport. yet there is still ads filled whenever on break and scores. how the hell they still charge customer so much with so many ads on their channels

  • Foxtel Now is a crappy experience if you live in WA, by the time you get home from work all the prime time shows have finished and it's late night low budget shows or infomercials with ads in between. I wish they'd do a +2 or +3 channel like they do for satellite and cable. Everything is based on Sydney time.

That's my experience after a few free trials, I'd never pay real money for it.

    • Isn't Foxtel Now a streaming service where you can watch stuff whenever you like ?

I can't wait for old school tv services (where you have to either pre record shows or be home at specific times to watch a specific program) to finally die.
We should be able to start/stop/pause/resume all available TV and movies 24x7 with no pre planning required - that's the benchmark set by Netflix, Hulu, Stan, Amazon Video etc, and thankfully even channel 7, 9, 10 catch-up apps.

      • Foxtel Now does have content you can stream on demand, but that's not everyone's cup of tea. I don't have a Netflix subscription either because I'm the kind of person that prefers to flick through live channels until I find something that interests me rather than sit down and specifically choose a show from a library.
