Visit the promotion page in the French language, enter your email address (use Gmail address) and click the ‘Inscription’ button. I tired hotmail but didn't work for me.
Then the page will display a message that an email has been sent (Un email vient de Vous être envoyé avec toutes les informations vous permettant d’utiliser le produit TIS.) After that you will receive an email from “[email protected]”.
This email contains License code and download links for Trend Micro Internet Security installer ( Windows/Mac) all in French.
Depending on your OS, download the installer, finish the installation process and activate with the serial code you received.
Valued at US$39.95.
Not sure when it will expire, better grab it quick.

      the certificate bundle from the issuer contains 4 certificates. SwissSign root, which issued an AffirmTrust intermediate, which issued the Trend Micro intermediate, and finally the end entity certificate.

      its useless for an 'internet security' business to have unsecure splashed all over the place when people browse their pages though

    [Sigh] All these cheap/free antivirus progs the last several day… But I have over 200 days of ESET trial remaining (brilliant, btw). When I need one of these they don't show up for months. And when I don't need one they all do.

      Oh. I thought trendmicro was up there (a bit below) ESET. Mind you, this is their internet only version. Why people would get only an antivirus, I don't know. ESET catches so many malicious sites - even just on google searches - 'the page you're accessing contains blahblahtrojan, trojan, etc." that I'd only ever buy the 'total' versions: with antivirus + malicious website protection + banking sandbox + anti ransomware. (Well that is, if I ever paid for an antivirus - which I never have, LOL.)

    Looks like it is 'Trend Micro™ Internet Security 2018'.

    Connected it to my Trend Micro account and it showed up. Not bad for free however its not their Maximum/Premium Suite that I use. Many years ago I had Norton which failed to protect me from a virus, switched to Trend Micro and have had no problems since :)

    I've connected a few iOS devices to the free Trend Micro from this post. Silly that the app requires 1 device, even on the Premium Suite, but I love the data usage widget to track how much data I use on a specific device via 4G or WiFi.

    Tried 4 times installing it on Win7. Will see how it goes. It's pretty dumb, every time it extracted the "full" installer into a new folder (700mb) and on two HDDs without prompting. It also downloaded another 500mbs for every try, so I had to clean up 4GB of rubbish it left.

    Had to remove Avira free version, go it on 3 PCs, it installs a bunch of things. The most annoying thing is Avira keeps popping up reminders every 30 mins, it's way too much. We call Avira The Virus software. Two removed - not a straight forward process I'm telling you, I had to uninstall a few components separately. It also kept open up browsers when I tried to uninstall.

    if anything, I'd go for BitDefender, works quietly and straight forward. We have 5 PCs and 5 laptop, I uninstalled Norton, 360, AVG. Panda is ok but pops up upgrade window every time I start my PC, so it'll go when I had enough and time to do so.

    I'm also trying the new AVG "free" posted two weeks ago here. I got a win10 problem which there's no remedy yet, got a work around but installed another copy of win10 I think…

    if only Windows Defender can grow up quicker…
