  • Nice deal, why so cheap?

Other than Steep, JB had it cheaper on Black Friday. They had both Minecraft games, expansion pack, and 1 month Xbox Live card for $249. I was lucky and got Forza 3 thrown in also, plus i used the Black Friday $20 bonus voucher they were giving out so got it for $229.

RIP microwave-free 100% wired console gaming. Millions of users left with no choice but to be surrounded by 2.4GHz microwaves for the working life of the console. Would you buy a PC with no bluetooth OFF switch and no way to game without microwaves being emitted? How about a phone with no way to turn off Bluetooth?

    Depopulation agenda at work.

Hahahaha, that was gold. Thanks for the Friday morning pick up, I do love a good conspiracy nutjob

I love those who ignore decades of microwave science and personally insult those informing the sub-percentage of the population who care and who act on info concerning their health.

Always just a sub-percentage of the population. The rest accept what they are given.

    • Yes I would.

Respect your opinion. Just don't care personally.

Only reason for me to turn BT on my phone off is to save battery. I would never turn it off on a PC.

It has an off switch for a reason though. Choice. And it often reduces interference with other devices using the same band in the vicinity, if you still do wireless. The lack of choice in consoles is not good IMO, even if you don't believe it's damaging your health and the health of those around you.

      Spam, again.
      Nonsense, again

        Spamming what? Knowledge?
Denial is the first step. Nonsense indeed.

  • Hi Guys, I don't know much about game machines but my son keep nagging me for an xbox or playstation 4 for Christmas present.
Can someone let me know which one is better and why? I'm thinking to pick one up for the little fella this weekend. Cheers guys.

    • Would he be playing online with friends, that may decide what one to buy.

We had the original Xbox 1 then PS3 now still PStation. ( PS4 pro)
Honestly if he has never had one before they are both about the same. Buy which ever one has a few games included so he has something to play.

This pack that the OP posted is pretty good and the games are ok for the price.

  • Thanks PVA, don't think he will play online games with others, at least not for now.
In terms of the number of games and cost per game is Xbox or PS more affordable?
I feel this bundle with 4 games seems to be a good fixed to keep him busy during this holiday.

    • Cost is about the same for games. Whenever there is a sale it's usually for both consoles.
Some games are exclusive to a console brand but that won't make any difference.

If he has not had a console before it won't matter which brand, I think the games in that pack are ok, but remember those games you need to download, they aren't on a disc ( that's fine but just to make you aware)
And if you go to eb games you will see a heap of second hand games going for under $20.

Also have a look if Target, big w etc have any deals and go buy one now before you miss out.
