$49 at Toombul QLD, 5 left yesterday.

  • Can you use these on a Coal BBQ?

    • If it fits, but i normally use gas because these are so small they tend to burn the edges very quickly. The sides are there the heat comes in.
I think if you want to buy this to have a fun time cooking with your family it's definitely worth it.

  • Heap of them at Bunnings in Hawthorn (vic)

  • Bought myself a Weber Family Q 3100 for Christmas. Anyone know whether one of these would fit and work on it? Lid up or down?

    • Lid up, with this on there you can't put the lid down, it won't matter much this has its own lid.

I don't know the dimensions of your BBQ but it should be easy to check

  • This has got me thinking, if I put a stone on my Weber kettle's grill rack can I just use that as a pizza over with the lid down? I have a couple of stones I can try for that, only thing is usually I use wood in my Woodfire oven and if I do the flames will be right on the stone, hope that's not an issue.

    • Webber even sell the pizza stones. There is also a sheet of metal that the pizza is placed on which is then placed on top of the stone.

  • Anyone work out if this is nationwide yet?

    • +1

This is now nationwide as per Bunnings website. I’ve updated the original posted deal I did the other day

    • It is, it's on their website. I'd bought one at $69 and simply went back in saying can you credit me $20 and they did. I offered to bring the unit back into the shop as it was still unpacked and in my car but they were ok about it. Good on them and also for so often matching Aldi or in this case beating them by $20.

BTW - there were heaps in both Penrith Bunnings so I guess they scored a really good deal to still make profit at $49….

  • listed at $69 in my local store but scanned for $49.

  • What if you don't have a BBQ in the background, what else can be used for heating up?

  • There was at least 15 at Kirrawee Bunnings last night, I bought two.
They are on the end of an aisle, at the front of the store

  • Just thought I would post an update since ei have now used one of these:

-open it as soon as you get home, one of the stone side panels was broken in the box and there's only 14 days to report it
-the panel on the bottom broke first use, not sure why, but it was near where the broken side panel was
-despite the broken pieces the oven worked perfectly, its really easy to use, just put it on the grill and crank the burners underneath
-if you have a solid plate rather than a grill on one side like most BBQs take it out and place the grill in the middle and sit the own on it, leaving it in will block the heat on one side and make it uneven
-it gets plenty hot enough in 15-20min, and yes you should warm it up first
-in my case the back of the oven was hotter, which meant I needed to turn the pizzas at half time
-the base stone was a bit too hot compared to the oven, resulting in the thin bases burning before the cheese on the top started to burn. I think preheating the oven up more and then turning the burners down all the way may have helped, but you will need to experiment as this would also be dependent on your dough
-pizzas took about 4-5min to cook, but the oven wasn't at its highest temperature (hence why preheating to a higher temperature should fix the above problem)

All in all, if you like pizza, you have a gas BBQ and don't like messing around with wood, this is an excellent way to spend 50 bucks. Also you should pick up the pizza peel for 11.90 which is a special item so might not be around in the future (the next cheapest one bunnings sells is 30 bucks IIRC).
