So the way the T&C’s are worded, you need to pay more to see movies on Friday and Saturday nights (premium times)? What’s the fee?

most of the telcos let you buy movie tickets for 12$ each, and these only last 4 months so youd have to go 2 times a month. Seriously, how many decent movies come out jan - april

Well… that's the OSCAR SEASON .. so… there will definitely be a few.

      READY PLAYER ONE (Spielberg)

the better deal would have been the $8 tickets that GU/Event had middle of this year.

note that a few screens provide $10 tickets to their Movie Card holders.

in any case… lets see.. I grabbed the $60 card for $50 + Amex deal…. and maybe this for me (adult ticket) - plus join CINEBUZZ to get a few movie after 6…..

    • also helps if you go watch the movie with someone, so it's really 1.25 times per month.

    That's pretty miserable.
You can't use it during the busy Christmas new year break. You only have 4 months to use them and that's during the worse new movie period. You can't use the Friday, Saturday afternoons.

Tickets at our Event cinema are normally $9.50 and students are $8.50, so cheaper anyway.

  • Some people don't have Telstra Thanks or Optus Perks so this deal is o.kish for those who don't have access to them. Others have friends or family who ask them to book it on their behalf.

  • +6

To all those people failing at math.. you have 3 months to use these. (Not 4)

  • 10 not so cheap make it 7 people will buy.
cinema seats are so full of germs

Here is Garden City (Brisbane) 10 tickets for $90

Valid for 6 months from the date of purchase. Surcharges apply for sessions from 5pm on Friday and Saturday. Please read all of the terms & conditions carefully.

    • hello, do you normally get the evouchers quite soon after purchase? cheers

      • I usually get mine instantly.

        • Just ordered & it took 5 minutes. That's quick, but not instantaneous. Instantaneous means I can buy it whilst I'm standing at a checkout & use it straight away.

        • @adam: Well i had mine in about 40 seconds and that's close enough.

    • +1

Bought! Thanks for the heads up.

For anyone else who sees this, you can just replace the "GardenCity" in the URL to your local and test out if they have the offer, it's covered here.

  • Can these be used to purchase tickets for movies that are regional? For example Indian movies which usually are on a higher price..

Usually the distributor sets a min price for these kind of movies … the ticket prices range from $20-$28

    • +1

      I don't think so.
"Not valid for Gold Class, Movie Marathons, group bookings, or any sessions classified as special screenings including but not limited to events, festivals, alternate content and foreign films."

Aah.. blind me .. Didnt check that .. thanks for pointing it out …

  • $1 surcharge Friday and sat after 5pm right?

  • Tickets are $10ea anyway, so no bargain here, but I guess this is a present….

  • Terrible value.
