Usual mastercard offers. This time, it's 5 tickets for 70 dollars which translates to $14 per person. Could be handy for families during Christmas holidays.

which translates to $14 per person.

    That's not a bargain.

I thought it's usually about $19 -$21 per person. I could be wrong. Correct me if that's the case.

Nope, we usually pay around $12 through Telstra/Optus.

        • Which one sells Hoyts/Village? I presume this is where the cheap sims come in handy

        • @Sammyboy:
          RACQ, BUPA, Optus

@nocure: I have Bupa and its $14. So at Telstra/Optus (which one sells hoyts?) its $12??? I'm guessing by the time you have to top up the cheap sim to keep it active, it probably works out close to $14 depending how many movies you see a year.

Local event cinemas is $10.50 tuesdays. Its $11.50 for students every other day and around $15 for adults. Theres also a cinebuzz deal right now for $8 a ticket. Maybe gets close to $19 for 3D/Vmax for adult ticket not on Tuesday.

      • +1

My event cinema is $9.50, students $8.50.

Pretty expensive deal. A heap worse than the poor 10 for $100 deal that's only valid to April.

( and $12 with Optus or Telstra).

Post cheaper for Sat night at Event. Oh right you can't

    • +1

exactly, just go to Reading Cinemas, any day, any session $10..

If you or anyone has Optus or Telstra, you get them any day for $11ish. Even a $2 sim counts I believe.

    • Optus perks are now $12 minimum for adults and don't work Saturday nights.

RACV (and other states I assume) do discount tickets as well. Worked out cheaper last time we went because you don't have to pay extra for recliners..

  • Are there any limitations on the days/times they can be used?

    • +1

Doesn't seem to have limitations on day/times.

  • The event cinemas in Castle Hill often offer $10 movie tickets, no need to buy in advance.

Very handy when you have 4 kids 12-19:) thank you:)

It’s costing me and the wife $8 each at my local Event cinema to watch the new Star Wars film. That’s the normal price btw.

    • +1

They have different Cinebuzz member pricing depending on location. Some locations do not get the discount at all. Count yourself lucky that your local Event cinema does it for $8. See my link below.

Please check and see if your local Event cinemas offer special Cinebuzz member pricing (showing all the prices and locations):

I checked earlier and the Special Cinebuzz Member pricing is the same as the normal adult price……$8!

      • If they are offering $8 as normal price, I doubt they will go lower.

        • That’s what I just said.

Yeah this is not a bargain, hoyts has everyday tickets at $13-14 (excl weekends, if i remember correctly)

  • +1

I signed up for their free Cinebuzz thing and with that you can get $10 ($13 after 5pm on Friday and Saturday) tickets, can also get the same price through Telstra so this isn't really a bargain.

  • debit mastercard holders ….. thought most people would have credit mastercards

  • +1

Event cinema Kilkenny SA always $9 per ticket

  • Not a bargain. Cheaper with Telstra Thanks tickets (and that's not even the cheapest).

  • Either way, the link they sent to your email is not working.

  • This is useful on friday and saturdays after 5pm as there dont seem any day restrictions. Saves 1$ on each ticket though.
