[Vic] The Book of Mormon - A Reserve $65 + $8.75 Fee, Princess Theatre Melbourne TicketMaster Via Lasttix

150

Looks like LastTix are doing $65 tickets again for this weekend. Shouldn't need to say anymore about this show, if you haven't seen it do yourself a favour and go. Still some good tickets in stalls and dress circle at time of posting.

About the event:
The Book of Mormon is the Broadway musical from South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone and Avenue Q co-creator Robert Lopez.

Winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, The Book of Mormon is now playing in Melbourne but it must leave soon. Be quick and get $65* tickets before they sell out!

  • This has to change cities soon. I really want to see it. Will even happily pay the full price when it arrives.

    • They're going to Sydney early next year! Definitely give it a crack if you're in the area.

      • Yeah just saw that. Not near enough to me, but with how popular it is i'm sure they'll move it on again.

The show is excellent, but Princess Theatre is the worst theatre I ever been to. Got stuck with a tall fella in front of me, completely blocked my view for the full show, there is barely an incline or proper staggering of seats. His head was smack bang blocking the middle of the stage. The seats are atrociously small (Stall Area) so the person next to you if on the large side will spill over into your space. They really need to do something about it. Definitely skipping shows at that Theatre after this experience

    • You needed Smith's "magical" glasses.

You can ask to move right to the back if that happens, or they can re-seat you. My friend, the girl in front of her had a gibson girl bun! It was a huge a.. mushroom cloud thing, so my friend asked the usher to find her another seat.

I wonder if they're going to do a musical send-up of Islam as a sequel to this show?

    • You don't need to. As it is it's perfectly applicable to all religions.

      • -3

        hardly.

      • It does sound like as a whole its just a send up of religion. They've just picked one that is able to not take themselves so seriously compared to other major ones.

        • They've just picked one that is able to not take themselves so seriously

          I see what you mean…

    • Matt and Trey have their hands full regurgitating 2nd hand jokes of the Trump presidency, sadly.

  • Interesting…
These deals have become very common as the show approaches its Melbourne closing. What are the chances this will happen again when it gets to Sydney? Do you think its a good idea to wait a few months after it opens in Sydney (for these deals) or secure the tickets at full price?

    • +1

Depends how long you want to wait to see it, I'm sure there will be deals for Sydney shows just as there have been scattered almost throughout the Melbourne running.

    • Not for a while… but they might do preview tix?

  • I saw this show last week and it was great!
You can rock up 2.5 hours before the show to enter into the lottery for 2x $40 tickets. Both my girlfriend and I entered to double our chances and we got them! Odds were pretty good on a Tuesday night, 24 available tickets with only 6 people missing out. After we got the tickets we headed over to Touche Hombre for happy hour drinks and $5 tacos (order before 6pm).
The tickets we managed to score were the very front row seats, could pretty much pat the conductor on the head.
It was a great ozbargain day for us!
