  • Can we use credits from Google rewards?

    • Seems like you are able to. See https://support.google.com/store/answer/7549796

      • To use your Google Store credit balance toward your order, at the checkout screen, mark the checkbox next to "Use your Google Store credit."

I'm not seeing this option on the Checkout screen.

Here's what I found. Mostly minor improvements https://www.engadget.com/2017/10/17/daydream-view-vr-headset…

      • magnesium heatsink
      • more comfortable
      • better at shutting out stray light

Came here to ask the exact same thing. I have the previous gen from the Telstra deal and it is still unopened collecting dust.

        • Any interest in reselling them?

      • Cheers buddy.

New lenses as well for increased FOV

The other major change to the View's design becomes apparent when you look into the headset for the first time. Comparatively speaking, the new Fresnel lenses used to magnify a phone's screen are huge. Google made the change to increase the headset's virtual field of view by 10 percent, and while that sounds like a pretty modest bump, it meant I take in more of whatever world I was in at a glance. More important, these new lenses also make the sweet spot — that point where your eyes can perfectly focus on the screen — a little larger than before.

Have this and the previous gen from the telstra deal. This one is way way better for watching movies due to the wider FOV and larger fit (I need to wear glasses with them)

What I love is that I can buy a movie on google play, put on the QC35 and project the screen on the ceiling making the virtual display as big or small as I want.

Pair with a hammock and you've got a personal floating cinema

    • Project the screen to the ceiling? is the phone screen powerful enough to project to the ceiling?

      • err… 'virtually project to virtual ceiling'.. I meant it's cool to drag and scale the playing video around to where you are comfortable while wearing the headset
