I'm using the Sodastream French Door model for more than 2 years now, never had a problem. Plus, everyone says Costco is the best when it comes to warranty claims ;)
Only if you remain a constant member.
That's not an issue :)
It is if you forget to renew your subscription just once.
They do remind you one month prior of it expiring if you would like to renew. So as long as you shop occasionally you should be good to go.
A noisy fridge can also just mean it's not stable on the floor. Try adjusting the feet to see if it reduced the vibrations from the compressor.
+1 to this. The latest Samsung stuff in our house has all been crap. Used to be a good brand. Never again.
My mother has a Samsung double door fridge for 10 years. Hasn't missed a beat
Just go the Mitsubishi multidrawer, Japanese made and amazing quality, 5 year warranty.
I don't doubt there are better and cheaper fridges out there but you can't compare apples with oranges IMHO
This isn't a high end fridge. It's just an overpriced TV attached to a fridge. A fridge you can get for about half the price. If you seriously think you need 3 cameras looking at the contents of your fridge to let you know you need more milk then sure, go bananas.
Again, you are comparing apples with oranges. Can you post any +$500 discounts on the Mitsubishi model you are talking about?
@GregFiona: different user lol
@pakkapie: LOL sorry :)
Mitsi's are really good! I have 3 people in the extended family using hem for the last few years and they are trouble free
That will be my next fridge, one the Samsung inevitably dies. Though I think most Mitzis don't have water/ice dispensers.
Mine has a refillable container that then automatically makes ice cubes. Minimal design (not electronic) so hopefully less to go wrong.
@pakkapie: refillable container LOL, what’s next? Buy the icecubes from the local servo?
@GregFiona: not everyone eg renters can get it plumbed in for ice. Some may not want it plumbed in case it leaks and access to back of the fridge is extremely difficult
Yeah totally agree. I had a Mitsubishi fridge and it's been working fine for 5 yrs. I had some samsung products, a mirrorless camera, a laptop and a monitor, but none of them lasts for more than a year. I'll definitely not buy any samsung product.
You forgot to mention the Samsung washing machines :)
I buy LG fridges. LAst me 10 years+. Have had 6 in the family. We have 3 fridges in the house.
This guy chills.
I second that. I have had an LG fridge for 10 years and it is still going. The one with the milk door. Life is Good.
Actually, everything in my house is LG. The dishwasher was a Noble, some dodgy Italian brand, that broke 5 years in and I replaced that too with an LG true steam. Ahhh Life is Good.
LG fridge here too. Over 10 years old and never missed a beat. Why anyone needs a touch screen on a fridge and to be able to see inside is beyond ridiculous. No wonder they keep stuffing up. They do everything but what a fridge is meant to do.
We became splurgebargain.com.au lol
No offense but judging by the deals you have posted so far allow me to say: better splurgebargain than nobargain LOL
Fair enough
Four and a half thousand dollars for a fridge? Does it keep my produce from going off three times as long as a normal fridge? Does it buy the food for me?
In what world is this considered a bargain?
Actually yes, it does buy the food for you, it comes with the Woolies app installed ;)
I’m not forcing anyone to buy this fridge, I have just posted a
deal that’s at least $500(or 10%) than any other seller.
So, you are basically saying that $5k TVs shouldn’t be posted here because with the $600 Kogan ones you can still watch the same shows, right?Great, another way for corporations to enter the private domain.
Look, I never said it wasn't a good price, but for a product to be a bargain… I don't think it can also be a 4.5k fridge.
Can you show me a fridge that you consider a bargain? I will then find another fridge for half the price you posted. Will that make your deal not a bargain anymore? We are talking about different fridges here. For someone who is after this particular fridge I believe this price is a bargain. You know what I mean
I like this fridge. Cant wait for my Samsung side by side purchased in 2005 to fail so I can get this one.
A fool and their money are easily parted!
$5k and its still only a 2* energy rating, gimmicky crap that will fail minutes out of warranty.
this is the furthest post from a bargain I have seen in a long time.
For you and many other people yes, but for someone who is after this fridge it’s by far the best price.
Be careful with Samsung Fridges. I am on my second one more out of sheer stupidity than anything else. The first one died suddenly about 2.5 years (while the family was away on holiday) and we came back to an unbelievable mess. As it was a long weekend we went out and purchased a slightly bigger model and an extended warranty. After 1.5 years (into a 2 year Manufacturer warranty) the ice maker has been replaced due to it freezing up and then leaking water. Now its just out of manufacturers warranty and onto extended warranty and the unit is making a massive noise (either pump or fans). Apparently it isn't unusual with most Samsungs and it probably means the cooling unit is freezing up. I suspect that's what killed the first fridge (froze up and then leaked water onto power supply). Luckily we have the extended warranty and I'll have to see how it can get repaired.
My general impression is that Samsungs look pretty, have good features but the quality of the product is pretty poor. I will never buy another Samsung fridge (or washing machine but thats another matter). And I definitely wouldn't spend $4K on one no matter how many freebies.
