    Isn't this still expensive?

    • +4

It makes it exactly RRP - and we've already seen them appear in other eBay sales at $63

Meh. Telstra had it for $71 delivered a couple weeks ago. Ebay had it for $63.20 here last week.

Works out at $60.05 each if you buy 2 with 'P5OZZIE' and Click & Collect

    Not a bad deal really!

    • OP should put price for 2 in title?

      • +1

Yeah agree - could add the price for 2 ;)

    • Is Click & Collect free? Some sites will state "Free Click & Collect". This does not.

  • What's the point of google home any one wanna tell me?

I use it to turn my TV on/off automatically. Planning to program it with Phlex.

      • I use it to control Plex (via Phlex), Netflix and Youtube, I set alarms and timers, calculate stuff, ask it to play podcasts/music (I set the default speaker for music to my AVR) get news updates, check the temperature, ask it random facts, ask it to ring my phone if I can't find it, turn on/off lights (smart lights needed), shutdown my computer, take notes. There are heaps of things you can do with it, the trick is training yourself not to pick up your phone by default. I won't lie, the first few months I kept forgetting to use it, and picking up my phone out of habit.

        • How hard was it to program Phlex? Instructions look difficult

        • @YellowKnight: I didn't find it hard at all, but I troubleshoot web-servers for a living (and Phlex runs on apache/docker). If you follow the guide to the letter and check the git page for any issues you have, I don't think you'll have too much trouble, just set aside a couple hours.

Once it's setup, you'll thank yourself.

        • ask it to ring my phone

how do you do this in Australia?

        • +1

@Savas: It uses IFTTT. Just ask it to ring your phone, it's not using the cellular network.
