Not for everyone this, but I was after a silent PC setup for Mythtv.
This Intel Bare bones NUC is about AU$20 cheaper than local stock when you take shipping into account, and makes a reasonable media PC on its own.
However, I also added the Akasa Newton AC fanless case https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0741W6BFH/ giving a total of AU$287 shipped. I already have RAM and a disk drive.

These NUCs are essentially silent - you must have very sensitive hearing (or you run your HTPC sound too low)
Does this mean you will lift the guts of the NUC into the new case?
True, though after a couple of years fan bearing wear and start squeaking.
You are correct, the new case replaces the fan heat sink assembly, so you need to disassemble, apply thermal paste and reassemble in the new case.
The real deal here is the case as usually they are two to three time this price.

Thank you I do.

You could have got a $50 fanless ARM TV box running LibreELEC as a mythtv & kodi frontend, with better supported 4K out than Intel boxes.
And put the NUC in another room as backend server.
