  • These seem similar and a fair bit cheaper

    • some of those get a lot of good reviews. Surely they haven't written 351 fake reviews.

Can't see why this one costs almost as much as a Tile.
      neg.

      • Nice

      • I have Tile Slim and Nut Mini. Both don't beep loud enough for you to track them unless it's indoors at home.

It's not good for finding things you lose when you go out. It's only good for things you know are at home but you misplaced them.

    • Yeah, those are way cheaper.

If anyone has experience with these devices I'd be fascinated to hear how well they work. Personally, I'd be worried about either forgetting to, or being too lazy to, replace the battery. However, presumably they wouldn't be so popular if they didn't work. How have fellow OzBargainers found these sort of devices?

I've used the Nut 2/3 series of trackers. The build quality isnt too good. After a few months of tossing keys and bags around, i needed to put a strip of tape around them to hold it together.

Despite this negative, i do keep using/ordering them. It's very useful. I've used it to locate keys that fell out of my jacket while on a walk. I have had a Tile before as well, but the fact that you cannot replace the battery in it was a deal breaker for me.

Just note that these are not GPS devices, it connects to your phone via bluetooth which i think sends a pulse every so often to check that it is there. If the device goes missing, all your phone does is report the last time and place it pulsed. Great for keys and bags, but not pets/cars etc.

      • Nut comes with some annoyances. If you leave a Nut at home, your phone will beep and say it's gone out of range. There is a silent period where you can tell it not to disturb you that can be configured but it doesn't seem to work.

  • Frankly, I don't have any experience on this device. Just wanted to give it a go since my wife loss her car keys twice! Spent hundreds for a new set of keys. :(

Wow! Just wow. I don’t even know if Tile cost this much… seems really expensive for simple Bluetooth trackers…

    Here are a few option from $2 @ Banggood…

  • Is it just a Bluetooth receiver?
Why are these worth $20 each over the others that are 10 x cheaper?

  • Very dissapointing item…

I was stupid enough to buy 8 of these a year ago…

The device sometimes works, sometimes doesn't - and in the end i just threw them out as they were a waste if time. Dodgy product, and youll be throwing uit out within months.

The Tile was also erratic so they ended in the bin. Waiting for a Xiaomi version

I was hoping there's a xiaomi one too!

    Pricier than my car..

  • whats the range of these things 10m?

    • Give or take depending on line of sight and signal noise floor. A brick wall can completely block Bluetooth.
