Yes, it's a bike light, however… the lens and reflector combination mean that you don't need to burn the possums in trees and retinas of fellow commuters coming towards you just to see the ground. Instead the beam is formed such that there's a distinct horizontal cut-off.

Automatic mode is a bit shonky and I find low output fine for riding on paths and on-road lanes.

Sound your bell before passing. Be kind to one another on the paths.

  Kudos for the awareness of angling lights towards other cyclists - wish all were aware. Some seem to think the brighter, straight up, the better.

  Thanks mate,
  Bought one long time ago that didn't have any proper reflector (more like designed for head lamp), felt like i was blinding oncoming people & cars with the light output. I even put a black electrical tape to cover the top half to cut out the glare.
  This one should be better.
