$10 credit to both the referrers on Unlimited Plans and referees. Referee needs to provide referrer with their email address.
I'm guessing your autocorrect has changed 'amaysim' to 'amazingly simple'
No thank you! Simply Energy is better for me. Better rates and 42% on Electricity and 27% on Gas, pay on time discount.
Just remember percentage means shit all if the rate is higher… I get 0% discount but pay 15.9 cents per KWh with Pacific Hydro…
15.9 flat rate ? Vic?
Looks like they’ve increased their rates slightly since when I signed up but citipower is now 16.1cents. Rates here http://energythatcould.com.au/energy-plans/pricing-fact-shee…
People are just that stupid though haha.
Ozbargainers can't be that stupid, can they! I did mention above that I am getting better rates than amaysim and more discount on the top.
Btw, I am paying 26.46 cents per KWh and after 42% discount, it comes down to 15.34 cents per KWh, which is slightly better than what you are currently paying. :-)
I am getting 33% on electricity and 17% on gas of the TOTAL bill, not just useage, with Lumo Energy. Need to sit down and do some math to figure out if Amaysim is better.
Amaysim charges fee if paid by credit card, Lumo does not.
VIC Gov website already does that for you here: https://compare.switchon.vic.gov.au/
Just plug in the numbers and it will give you current vs proposed including or excluding advertised or conditional discounts.
Saved me a few $$$ and plenty of time.
What if my first month bill is less than $125, would the balance taken out from the next month ? based on the condition it is not
The credit will stay on your account, according to call centre.
I asked them this today.
Just be aware that this is marketing to suck you in. It's not necessarily cheaper.
I just did a comparison to my energy retailer. My current retailer is still cheaper than this mob, even after the credit and discount.
In my opinion, you're much better off going with a low cost no-frills retailer that just has cheaper rates without a discount.
This 250$ credit is only for existing amaysim mobile customers.
You sure cant see anywhere it says must be a mobile customer
I know because I switched last week and I was told that I am not eligible for this offer as I don't have amaysim mobile SIM.
K thanks
Their electricity rate in NSW is a joke, unit price is 31% more than AGL's rate.
The gas for 60% more but the gas supply is 33% less. But tis ridiculous.
It should be illegal to market % off on utility pricing
State locations. i.e. NSW, Vic, SA and Qld only.
Marketing gimmicks suck the big one - 95% discount was $10 per kwh, now 50c per kwh!!!!
I though Amaysim did mobile plans. They do power?
Thank deal will save me $90 per quarter over Click Energy.
Why the neg vote?
As comments above the credit is for amaysim mobile customers only and it is not mentioned in the descirption at all.
What in the actual (profanity) is QLD where my discounts are max 18% and y'all are getting 35% and 42%?!
Wow I thought the 40% off for NSW would beat my current offer with energy Australia but no.
I use 1350kwh over 90 days so:
Amaysim Energy $341.25 + Daily fee $54.06 = $395.31
energy Australia $305.10 + Daily Fee $84.19 = $389.29 - $6 per month cheaper
If you take into account the $250 Amaysim wins by $160 over 15months (min to get $250)
It very much depends on state and actual energy provider. In my case I am in NSW and Endeavor is the supplier. Even with higher rates and higher daily supply charges. Amaysim is cheapest for me, after having 40% discount. It is better to make an excel sheet, put in your actual usage from your last bills then calculate who will be cheaper. Alternatively, https://www.energymadeeasy.gov.au/ is another option to find the cheapest retailer for your address.
Ridiculous prices
Great price for me (Ausgrid NSW, 25% discount) 31.6c usage, 74.3c supply.
$250 sign on bonus could be win win.
Just have to register with their cheapest mobile As you go plan to qualify.
Disconnection fees of $198.25 when you move out of your property ??
Beware the sneaky fine print,
it would have a BIG negative impact on my bill.
Discount is off usage and supply charges, after concessions and solar export applied.
This in effect reduces the concession and solar export by the discount.
Saw this on my email. At worst you could pocket $125. I havent checked rates.
There are just a few weeks left to take up this great energy offer!
Switch your energy before 30 November for $250 energy credit
switch your energy
Get a discount on your energy usage and supply charges when you pay your bill on time
Pay on time discount that doesn't expire
No lock-in contracts
*Offer only available to new amaysim energy accounts until 11:59pm 30 Nov 2017. Offer not available with any other promotion, is not transferable and can’t be exchanged for cash. Customers must be with amaysim energy after 12 months to get the second bill credit. Promotion terms and conditions
This credit is only for amaysim Mobile customers. The description should mention this.
I forgot to copy the terms on bottom of email has been updated.
you can join directly from their website. it doesn't require to be amaysim mobile customers to qualify for the credit.
From their website, their tariffs appear much higher Peak is similar to AGL but offpeak and shoulder almost 35% and 65% higher (NSW)
amaysim's per unit rates are off the charts. crazy expensive. plus their daily connection charge too is among the costliest. you wont save anything by joining. i did research after looking at their offer. if u r thinking of switching then check the rates first.
I've been with Click Energy since Feb this year and their prices were very competitive when I switched from AGL, since Amaysim bought up ClickEnergy in 2017 my Gas rates have gone up 50% and my Electricity 37% without any prior warning over 2 rounds of price increases.
I feel sorry for pensioners who joined the 50-Up Club and who were enticed onto ClickEnergy earlier this year. Their current rates are eye wateringly high now.
Amaysim are trying to fund this $250 credit by jacking up the prices of existing ClickEnergy users
I'm in the process of porting out to Lumo now.
Lumo is now Red Energy I think.
For Ausgrid NSW their discount is only 10%,
so Amaysim daily supply charge is cheaper than Red for me.
https://www.redenergy.com.au/docs/nsw_price_fact_sheets/Red-…
Prices are right up there. In Victoria, I noticed the credit is in the form of $125 upfront credit with the balance after 12 months..
