Soul reached, the mrs loves hummus so I'll give it a crack.
Would you use the tahini stuff above or do you get a paste one?
60gm Tahini
1 can chickpeas
60ml chickpeas water from can
50ml olive oil
60ml lime juice
1 garlic podBlend.
Salt to taste. Cumin powder, paprika and 10ml Olive Oil to top up.
Have a hummus day!
Try doing the revived dried chickpeas in water overnight, then shelling the chickpeas for a light and fresh tasting hummus!
Agree, but I usually make this on the go and then it's too late. I do agree that the fresh chickpeas will do a better job.
Tinned chickpeas? Please hand in your Ozbargain badge. Soak dried chickpeas overnight. Boil them on a very low heat for about 30 minutes. Bingo! Cheap chickpeas.
Pressure cook them for a few mins, saves waiting. :)
