Woolworths Platinum Credit Card - No Annual Fee for First Year, $100 Gift Card (Conditions Apply)

150

Seen this in the woolies catalogue today, looks like it could be a good deal for the first year at least.

Appears to be a continuation of this previous deal.

Conditions - new customer, approved for $6000 credit limit (platinum card) and eligible purchase before end of 28/02/18.

Also comes with purchase and travel insurance (see conditions).

  • The link doesn't seem to reference the qf points?

Otherwise the no minimum spend is nice!

    • It doesn't but I found it listed in the conditions and the dates to receive them are the same as for the gift card. Worth a try? I feel like if its in the conditions they'd honor it but maybe not.

    • Oh bummer only the $100. Not sure if i can be bothered with all their silly paperwork for that!

OP, correct me if I'm wrong. It looks like you're talking about 2 different credit cards here:

    1. Woolworths Everyday Platinum Credit Card
    2. Woolworths Qantas Platinum Credit Card

    The first card:

Get a $100 Woolworths eGift Card
$0 Annual Fee for the first year

    And the second card:

    Bonus 16,000 Qantas Points
$99 annual fee for the first year

Please update the post title if it's the case.

Coles MasterCard is better as they don't have foreign transaction fees.

    • Can you use that card overseas while travelling like the 28 degrees card?

      • Yes you can and it gets you flybuy points as well.

        • Also has 2 years price protection which can be worth hundreds in a year (possibly only on the platinum over $6000 cards)

    • What do they use for the exchange rate? Is it just the Visa rate, or their own rate with a few percent tacked on.

      • I believe its mastercard rate and they are more competitive than visa rate. Same as what's being used with 28 degree.

        • I am just looking at fees for the Coles Mastercard. Saw this.

          International transaction fee
1.5% of all purchases and cash
This is charged when you make any purchase or cash advance outside Australia. This may be in Australian dollars or any other currency where the Merchant is located outside Australia or the transaction is processed by an entity located outside Australia.

"where the Merchant is located outside Australia". So this would include buying from a store based overseas I assume?

        • @edshays:
Is this the platinum or regular coles MasterCard. Search coles MasterCard on ozbargain will give you quite a few links and read through them.

  • If your approved credit limit is less than $6,000, you will not be eligible for a Woolworths Everyday Platinum Card and will instead be issued with a Woolworths Everyday Card

be a bit of a pain if they send out an Everyday card with no gift card.

offer is available to new primary cardholders only

um, I got this offer a few years ago, I wonder if that disqualifies me.
