Harvey Norman is offering 20% discount on all recharges: phone, data or wireless broadband. I didn't specifically ask, but assume 'all' means Telstra too.
It seems to apply to all stores, until 14 November.

owh.. never thought of price beating on mobile recharges.. lol
Wait seriously?! HAHA I completely missed this comment. You can do that?
The last time I tried, they pricematched a Coles offer which was 20% off - unless it was a mistake by their part, but they had no doubts about doing it when I did.
perhaps they saw its coles:P after all officeworks is under coles:P
My local Harvey Norman had run out of these and the next one was too far so I simply went into office works and they gave me a pricematch. Now that I check they only applied 20% instead of 20% + 5%. I don't really care though. Still happy =)
Ohh nice. Does that include Virgin mobile?
FANTASTIC! I'm just about to make a big spend ($150) on recharge - this will save me heaps thanks!!!
Is this for the recharge voucher or it should purchase with the mobile phone?
Voucher :)
How long are vouchers normally valid for if you buy moore than one as thinking this would be good for the 365 day new telstra wifi modem recharge use one now use another in say 6mths or so.
Purchased 3x $50 VodaFone recharge … expires 9/10/12!!
Does this include Optus Pre Paid?
Nice!
AWESOME!! I'm a n00b, can someone tell me whether I would be able to get the long term recharge (12GB for 365 days) for my Pocket Wifi on Vodafone? If so, I'll have no need to go on a plan as the price will be the same :)
Dude, if this works you are not a noob, you are a genius, I'm so pissed off at Zibri for stringing us along.
why are people asking "does this include"?
I didnt know the meaning of ALL was so vague.
Blame the asterisks.
Exactly haha.
Who knows what will be excluded this time round. They always find something to exclude.
Damn, just recharged last week. +1
My Dad thanks you - I got him a wireless Vodafone USB modem for father's day and was just about to pay $150 12GB for 1 year. This will cut the cost to $10 per month (he doesn't use it much but it's a lot better than his dialup)
Office works and it becomes $9.50 a month ;)
ooh, a 50c saving! big whoop!
50c x 12 = 1 pizza :D
Just tried to get the price match minus 5%. the guy at Officeqorks advised they don't pricematch on services
That is just BS
List of exclusions:
* Non identical products and services (inclusive of non identical warranties)
* Package deals i.e. printer and computer bundles
* Cash back offers
* Resellers
* Contract Pricing
It says non identical products and services, how can pre-paid vouchers from different stores not be idential?
But it's not a service. If it was binding of books or something, I could understand, but this is an actual product - the same product sold elsewhere.
I wouldn't stress about it though
worked at OW Collins St, Melbourne. They call HN to confirm the offer then give you the 5% extra off. Unfortunately, only valid for 1 purchase. :(
So this not included prepaid starter kit @ 12GB for 1 year?
Harvey Norman doesn't seem to have recharge for THREE prepaid mobile broadband ? :( Is this right ?
Confirmed for OW at Maribyrnong. Further 5% discount.
So, I just saved 25% (20% to match & 5% lowest price guarantee) on recharge! Happy ;-)
It's actually 24% :P
Oh Yeah ~ I bought 50$ recharge and paid 38$.
It is only 24%. Forgot that they deduct 5% from discounted price not full one.
My bad :-)
Underwood qld didnt budge. They said they don't price match on services
What proof do they need ? the catalogue ?
Yeah, the website link from the OP should be enough.
I brought the actual catalogue to show them.
The guys at the OW I went to just called up the catalogue from the HN site, asked me to show it to them, and they accepted it just like that. Great service.
EDIT, that was West Ryde NSW btw…
(I don't work for them or anything. Just thought I'd give a plug for good service)
I just went to Harvey Norman knox they knew nothing of this said it depends on franchise refused any discount
That's pathetic! I'd speak to corporate if I were you (or send them a tweet)!
Officeworks Lowest Price Policy DOES include Services
http://www.officeworks.com.au/retail/content/Lowest-Price-Gu…
I ended calling up officeworks and advised them of the current T&Cs, the guy apologized and said they've been recently updated blah blah… I ended up getting it from another officeworks for $114 after the 5% price match discount
Officeworks West Ryde (NSW) will discount, but didn't have the specific Telstra mobile broadband recharge card that I was after :-(
Will be checking out Artarmon tomorrow.
It hasn't changed for at least the past 3-4 years.
Sorry, what hasn't? The fact that OfficeWorks don't sell Telstra Mobile Broadband, they will do discounts, or something else?
I just popped in to that one because I saw it on the way from A to B and thought I'd duck in and check.
Harvey norman at knox city melbourne phoned me this morning and apoligised they do have this deal the staff on yesterday were unaware of this special
Thanks OP. Forgot to post the day I made the purchase, but I did indeed go and get a $15 Virgin recharge at the Five Dock/Croydon Officeworks on Saturday. Like many other people have said here though, I was also told that they could not beat it by 5%. He said something like "it can't be done through the system for this mobile recharge" or something along those lines, so I didn't bother.
But once again, thanks very much for this great post. Posted at a very good time!
So you saying they can't beat it but can pricematch it?…. That sounds like them just trying to cover their arses.
I'm pretty sure all they have to do is input the voucher into the POS system then do a manual price override.
Well that's what the guy told me! But as I said, for 60 cents, I didn't really bother, but I did question it and that was the response I got.
Just bought a few Telstra $30 recharges! No issues at Nunawading Harvey Norman.
I went to Melbourne QV Officeworks and they would only price match. I had a giftcard to get rid of, so I was happy to get a price match.
Can I just confirm that Virgin Mobile vouchers are valid to be used for 1 year from the date of purchase? I tried calling up Virgin Mobile previously and I got a really vague response…
On a related note to QV, I dropped by the HN branch there. Asked for a $30 Vodafone recharge and the lady serving me said there wasn't any offer on and it had ended on Sunday. Thought it was a bit strange as the catalog clearly says 14th November which is next Sunday. I'll try again tomorrow, hopefully i get a different response.
Yeah actually in the T&Cs on the last page of the catalogue it says 7/11/10. You'd have to go to the full catalogue T&Cs to see where it says 14/11, but even HN seems to have ended the sale, so I doubt you'll have much luck.
I'm in the same boat, left it 'til too late. I've got a printout of the catalogue and the T&Cs showing 14/11, and now trying to find an Officeworks kind enough to put it through for me.
Here's the T&Cs showing 14/11:
http://harveynorman.dynamiccatalogue.com.au/portal/tandc/128…
And a copy of the catalogue in PDF:
http://harveynorman.dynamiccatalogue.com.au/imageicon/HRN/Pr…
Best of luck!
Ahh okay, thanks for that zzyss. Knew i should have got it last week! It is a bit dodgy how the website says 14th Nov while another date is specified elsewhere.
In that case its probably too much effort for me to chase up on. I'll just grab it with the normal 10% off from Woolworths instead
Woohoo! Success! Got mine price matched AND beat at Officeworks using printouts from the Lassoo site.
Just got Officeworks to price match and 5% additional discount on a 12 month roaming broadband voucher (normally $149). Just showed them the HN website from this page which says sale ends 14 November :)
Officeworks Clarence St Sydney finally gave me the 5% price match guarantee after they failed to justify their refusal with a copy of their price match conditions. Manager had to came out for this but sadly she needed to see me getting a little bit angry by their 'computer system not allowing us to do this'. She told me to relax. I guess I could've used less drama hahaha.
Don't forget you can take this offer to Officeworks, and get a further 5% off.
