Managed to nab a code for this very popular power strip as there have been many purchases as of late for products with overseas adapters. Comes with 3 USB ports and 3 Multi-Connector Power Ports, ending with an Australian wall adaptor.

Make sure to select Unregistered Air Mail and pay with AUD for this price. If you have any issues with the code before it is expired, make sure to either use a different browser or reset your browser cache and try again.

Please be advised that this is limited to the first 200 Pieces and is only for AU/NZ IP Addresses. Get in quick if you would like one.

Enjoy :)

Edit @ 9:15pm 7/10: 300 More Pieces Added.

  • Thanks, just need to grab one

    Thanks, bought one.
    1.8m cord if anyone's wondering.

  • Are the 3 USB ports each 2A?

      • +5

3A is not much current to share between 3 usb sockets, especially not when they all will report 2.1A capacity.

Clearly it is not going to replace my TronSmart charger, especially when this also appears in the document:

Running all 3 socket in parallel shows that the overload protection is common for all 3 socket, i.e. the total current is 3.3A before the protection kicks in. This means you have to be careful with what devices are connected to the usb power too stay below 3.3A.

If i'm interpreting it correctly, plug in 2 newish smart phones and overload protection will kick in.

    Are these Aus certified yet?

    • No

  • Still waiting for USD8.99

  • does the head needs a converter for Australian power point?

    • No, it’s an Australian port.

      • +7

It's not really a "Australian port" it just happen to fit in an Australian GPO upside down

        • +21

Maybe it is us who are upside down?

  • +1

Got one from last deal. Great product - when you are using the USB ports to charge your phone, they heat up a bit.

  • +4

The design and use of these are nice but makes a really annoying high pitch noise when charging so terrible for night stands.

    • +1

Thanks. Was about to get one but I guess not.

      • +5

        Mine is silent.

        • So is mine.

        • @Karza: oh thanks. lucky dip then i guess.

        • And so is mine..

    • +2

      Mine has noise as well.

I heard a house burned down and one of these power strips was in the next suburb. Just saying.

    • +1

I can confirm. I have 2 of those and recently we had a car crash next suburb.
Also my next door neighbor had a paper cut after I told her about some unrelated item.
They are definitely outright dangerous and if you are concerned about the safety of the car drivers in neighboring suburbs don't buy them.

  • does anyone know where i can get one which has an australian power point converter, but can take australian/hong kong/singapore appliances?

    thanks
    Oneiricer

    • Not sure what you mean by Australian power point converter? The plug on this is earthed Chinese so it will plug into an Australian power point upside down. The three universal points will take most countries, except UK or EU/US earthed connections I believe.

      • +1

The 'except UK' part was what he was after I believe - HK / SG both use UK style plug.

        • Ah I see, that makes sense. I didn't know HK/SG used UK style plug.

Sometimes wonder if I’m looking at OzBargain or XiaomiBargain
Hard to tell difference right now

    • Buy the stock then try and sell it before some explosions and faulty devices. OR buy the stock after those. Depends if you're safe or risky. Money to be made though. Xiaomi has done a good thing opening up the middle-level of Chinese products to Western audiences.

  • How did you get a code? Do they email loyal customers or something?

    • +1

I just sent a message to the rep (Sunny) asking for a coupon and she happily got obliged.

      • Nice. Could one potentially ask for discounts on a certain item?

I suppose it helps them get rid of stock quicker as well.

        • +2

Definitely, send her a message in regards to a product that you’d like and see what she says, sometimes is depends on finding an item already discounted off a competitor and them just beating the price, but worth just asking politely for a good price.

I have a few of these and they are good but lack surge protection. This can be solved with a $5 single surge protected outlet but it's another thing to buy and has to be factored in to the cost.

  • Bought one for my international trips/and/or foreign friends. Should be good for just charging station.

    • It doesnt take UK plugs so it is not a true international electric extension. But if you are just using for usb charging, why not.

      • Dang, oh well, it's still a relatively good buy.

        • It's excellent for travel. This paired with a universal adapter (to plug this power strip into any foreign power point) is all I take now. It has a 1.8m cord so it gives you some extension too. Useful when you're staying in a hotel room with the power points in a silly place.
But yeah if you have anything with UK plugs or EU/US earthed plugs it's no good for those.

  • All gone.

  • missed it !!!!

  • noooooooo
Ive been waiting for these to pop back up

    Missed it

Bought one last week for $9.99USD at https://www.joybuy.com/2003944.html. Just checked, still available. Unsure about reliability of seller, another chinese website that should take about a month to arrive.

  • Bugger I was after one of these and missed the boat🤔

  • These guys take forever to deliver stock.. been waiting for over a month on some other xiaomi products ordered

  • +3

just my 2 cents- I strongly support buying imports for goods and services that wouldn't significantly impact your life upon failure; however with those that will cause damage - please buy certified AU goods that will give some kind of cover when it does.

    • +2

Can we still use life-changing products like the Xiaomi vacuum?

Also note: I bought a $50 powerboard from DSE once (in-store), and plugged in my Australian Samsung handset bought from JB HiFi with the Australian USB cable directly into Australian USB-port on the board.

After a few minutes, there was a pop sound, scortch marks around the USB port and the smell of smoke in the house.
Since then, I couldn't give a fuсk about Australian "standards". Xiaomi make high quality products and this board will power them nicely.

    • You do realise that standards are made up by? someone who might have NFI. And almost every electronic good you buy comes out of China, right?
And Aussies can be potentially just as dodgy / below standard / unscrupulous.

Back in stock now, 300 more pieces added :)

  • Thanks OP.

  • Paying through 28 degree card will be cheaper or not for this deal as my last purchase in AUD was not much of a difference.

  • seems good/reliable, got one, thanks!

  • Thanks OP got one.

  • Got one to try. Thanks mate

  • Can someone tell me what's so good about these? I mean…a 4 port outlet powerboard can be had from Kmart for $2.50

Buy a couple $0.99 USB plugs from eBay and you have USB capability too.

I'd be intrigued if this had fast charge or something

But at $12 I'd prefer buying 5 X 4 Outlet Power Boards from Kmart.

    • +4

These power boards have sockets that take US EU and AU plugs. This is very handy if you have a bunch of devices with overseas plugs.

      • Good point, I can use my supercharger now without the massive adapter shipped with my phone.

        • I have a Obi200 ATA with a US plug and a Maha C9000 charger with Euro plug on this powerboard.

        • +1

Just be aware this doesn't take US/EU earthed plugs or UK plugs. Nevertheless it's a great power strip.

  • +2

You don't need a lot of them, but you gotta have at least one, chances that you might need to use it with oversea OzBargained item are very high

  • Thanks OP

  • thanks op bought one
