    Grabbed one, does anyone know if the phone holder is screwed onto one of those universal screws tripods use.

      got two from the last deal. the camera mount is meant to screw on and has a metal thread. However the injection moulding of the plastic around the lower opening was so poor it entered the thread space by about 1/4 to make it unusable… so I guess I just have two mini gorilla grips now unless I feel like trying to melt it out with a soldering iron or something.

      Yes, the holder has to be screwed onto the tripod.

    These are flimsy.. I got one from the last deal and the feet/shoe combination can't really hold that much. Maybe the old iPhone 3g/4 sized ones are ok but pretty useless for bigger phones.

    For the price though, you won't really lose much.
