That's to get traffic to their website, normal business practice.

      • +2

Shopmonk were the company that brought us the QC35 deal last time Ebay did massive sales ($300 - 15% = $255). They are known for being extremely competitive on ebay. And even they are jacking up prices for tomorrow. That's the point i'm making.

        • +2

I understand that, but they are trying to get traffic through their website to test it out and not pay ebay fees in the process. It's funny that you mention they jacked the prices for tomorrow considering they have a bigger discount right now with PICNIC?

        • Shopmonk were new when they were competitive….Once these companies understand the ebay sales they are bound to jack up their prices….

      • What a typical example of double standard

    • Is this reportable to ACCC?

      • Yes it is….

  • +23

Ebay will be closed for maintenance on 21 Sep between 6-10pm. Thank you for your understanding.

  • my wallet… never mind, after checking i can resist this time. hah!

    • +1

      buy a new wallet

  • Does anybody know if you can Make an Offer and after it's accepted, wait until a promo code is available then apply at checkout? Will ebay codes base the transaction on when the time the offer was accepted or when you go through the checkout process?

    • Make an offer should work

  • +3

I think this is a perfect time to bring this tyre and wheel deal again:

What was the previous highest sitewide discount rate?

  • Dont forget the extra 3% ogf if you go through the ebay link in your Acorn investment app. Doesnt say you cant combine it with other offer AND includes postage…interesting 🤔

    • Where in the app is that

    • The 18% discount is on item cost only and does not apply to postage costs.

  • Does this apply to overseas sellers selling in foreign currency?

Hopefully I can score a decent dyson v8 absolute deal…

    • Me too…

      • I can see dyson and Bing lee have reduced their prices. Who's better to buy from?

        • Are you after the V8 Absolute plus or just the V8 Absolute?

        • @kiwiinoz: plus isn't worth it in my opinion.. Have the v8 absolute

        • Miele x 1000

So does anyone know any gopro 5 which I should purchase from
Have been looking in need for one for awhile it's for the misses bday?

Needs to be click and collect as well since need it before 26th September.

  • +2

Key here i reckon is to buy now and pay tomorrow night to ensure the item you want doesnt go out of stock.

  • Any specific shop where I can get Pandora bracelet with this offer?

    • +3

It's site wide, try using the search bar.

  • +3

Wow 1000 votes , hope everyone gets a good deal.

    • Historically, is this the highest voted deal?

      • +5

Not yet, highest 2441 for 15% off Ebay sitewide. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/149368
Perhaps tomorrow will see a new record set :)

        • +2

That one did look pretty sweet though, included postage and gift cards!

        • So new record, eh?

    • +1

Thanks spotted cow, looks like I'll be getting a free upgrade to the iPhone 8 :)

  • +3

    Any QC35 deals?

  • Guessing you can't stack other codes on this deal?

  • Is it true you can buy now and not complete checkout process till tomorrow. Then use the code? Not Just add to Cart actually buying today and paying tomorrow. Has anyone successfully done this in past promotions? Because wouldn't that secure stock and price. Therefore stoping over inflation of prices?

    • +1

Yes, have done that before and doing it again now.

    • How do you do this?

      • +2

Click on buy it now, confirm the purchase, then wait until the sale starts, put in the code and pay then.

        • what if my only checkout option is "confirm and pay"?

        • @phatmike128: My question too….So buying something from Myers I am unable to just confirm the purchase and pay later.

        • +1

@kiwiinoz: I got an answer elsewhere in the thread. The seller has set the option requiring immediate payment so you can't do it for that item.

  • Not long till this overtakes free cheese in +'s

  • +2

Sitting here chewing on free cheese and looking at my CC balance on my Note 4X thinking.. what the hell, bring it on!

    • If you had the foresight you'd be preparing your bulk cheese ebay ad.

  • Purchases of items listed in the following categories are excluded from this offer: Bullion (178078), Services (316), Cars, Bikes, Boats (9800), Tickets, Travel (11,730), Other Lots More Items (88433) and Gift Cards (172,009).

    Does this include car PARTS?

I just bought an old Cortina and was waiting to pull the trigger on a bunch of stuff.

    • Asked the same question before, and the "cars bikes & boats" category is different from the "Vehicle parts & accessories" category, should be fine.

      • Should be fine, but if all else fails, get the seller to change the category for you.

    • If it's anything like my first car (1978 TE Cortina, baby poo brown with white roof), it might be cheaper in the long run to just buy a second Cortina for parts :P

      • That's the excuse my father used to fill the back yard with wrecks.
        It's a trap!

  • Can anyone suggest a good steam iron?

    • Big W have a couple of decent ones on special atm.

      • Do you know which one is good? I might buy from ebay tom. with this deal.

        • +1

The boss here says the Sunbeam @ $29. There's one on the Big W ebay site now and they already have a 20% off with code PBIGW which ends midnight tonight.

    • I like salav brand. Expect them to last ~3 years if you don’t rescale them like me.

Edit: oh you meant an iron. Not a garment steamer. Anywhoo get a garment steamer. They are faster to iron with.

    • We have had our Tefal one for about 4 years and its still going strong.

looking at a DJI mavic pro - is it worth getting the fly more pack? also are there any suggested sellers or ones to avoid? hows warranty for the clearly grey import ones? cheers

    • it worth to get fly more pack, 3 batteries are enough I think, and you can purchase DJI refresh in Australia for warranty

  • Is it just me or is almost every single Dan Murphy item out of stock?

  • +3

Can anyone CONFIRM with experience of buying an item now, and paying tomorrow to add the code. Have seen people commenting throughout the post however nobody has given a proper explanation..Thanks!

    • +2

Check back for an answer after 6pm

    • The offer entitles you to 18% off the purchase price (excluding postage costs) when you spend $75 or more in one transaction during the Offer Period, for up to two transactions and up to a maximum discount of $500 per transaction.

A transaction ID on eBay only seems to be generated once payment is made and where multiple items are involved only 1 of those items is allocated a transaction ID.

This would suggest that eBay only considers a transaction to have taken place once payment is made.

Based on the wording in the T&C I think it should be fine to commit to buying now and pay using coupon tomorrow.

Please note that this is based on what I could see now that I committed to buying some items and compared the available info to those of previous purchases which have been paid for. Proceed at your own discretion.

      • Update: Worked fine

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/AOC-AGON-AG271QX-27-QHD-Adaptive-…

$550 delivered. will be the cheapest i think it's been.

    • Its not IPS?

      • Don't think it's IPS hence the lower price. I'm going for the Acer XB1 27"

        • Link?

Shopmonk already jacked up their prices..

    $1249 for S8+ (64GB)
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-Galaxy-S8-PLUS-Orchid-Gra…

$1749 for Note 8 (64GB)!! - more expensive than retail here
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-Galaxy-Note-8-Midnight-Bl…

    • I'd say they are jacking because of this 20% deal.

      • +1

        Jackers are absolute scum

      Very poor!

Target already pulled their Neon Nintendo Switches.

The EB Games deal still comes out better after delivery.

  • Can someone recommend a retailer for well priced PC components that will come down nicely tomorrow with the code? Or is it a matter of checking each component against MSY etc?

Unless there's an already built mini tower well priced?

  • Question, can i use the coupon for an auction item?

    • +2

Of course - it's applied when you PAY.

If fact, you could use it for a mixture of Auctions and Buy Now… whatever you choose to pay for together in one transaction (payment).

      • thanks

        • Just remember - put everything in the cart, checkout all of them together.

  • +1

Seems a lot of sellers have jacked their prices. I've been eyeing Airpods and almost all seem higher than retail price now. :(
